Apparently Redpath cracked on the stand, and didn't hold up well to the questioning.
But the blame there HAS to go to Gordon and Stary. Redpath needed to be better prepared for the questioning etc that would be coming his way.
My question is why the hell did we choose Rob Stary to defend? Cmon Peter, couldn't you have chosen someone with a bit of a better reputation?
For the people who don't know:
"The 60-year-old Stary is, of course, better known for representing our more notorious gangland figures, including Carl Williams and Tony Mokbel, as well as militant unionists, left-wing activists and one Julian Assange. He is also the lawyer to whom Australian terror suspects turn more than any other.
In the second half of his career, in fact, the depth and breadth of such work has set him apart in the field. And he doesn't just defend radicalised Islamists. Stary jokes that his firm is "inter-denominational", representing freedom fighters, Tamil Tigers and Kurdish separatists – and so defending people both inspired by (and revolted by) Islamic State – all of which has turned him into, for want of a better descriptor, the Terror Lawyer."
On top of this, this is BLOODY FOOTBALL. This a whole different ball game. A more specialised AFL experienced person should have been used.

Redpath and Greene are going to end up getting suspended for the same amount of games this year...
The system is so broken. Needs an overhaul badly.

Spot on. No wonder really understands the rules anymore. Players getting suspended for good tackles and now this crap.I don't normally jump on other teams threads but after the decision on Redpath and getting 3 weeks for virtually nothing I feel for him and honestly don't know what the AFL are turning our game into but it's embarrassing
We will end up being TFL - Touch Football league
Greene copped 2 weeks for sniping Daniel across his jaw from behind which left him dazed. Redpath copped 3 for an open handed shove to the shoulder/neck which didn't hurt Davis. No, Redpath will have had 5 weeks , Greene has 4 had weeks.
