Main training video on WCE social media, Ryan looked fine turning and collecting ground ball during a drill.
i think that might have been a couple days ago. It's possible he's not 100% so they pulled the pin. Given the fact this season is an absolute shitshow already.

I’d say a few. Not sure about that omission myself

Why? Because it's Oscar?

He spent 45% TOG last week offered very little up forward and got destroyed in the ruck .

There was no obvious place for him in the team this week.

I could see him coming back in next week.

JJ for Petch is a tick.

Cole for Rotham is a tick, albeit a little harsh on Rotham.

Gov for Schoey is an unfortunate necessity if Gov is healthy. Schoey very good but can’t carry he, Gov, TB and Hurn.

Two rucks is a tick.

Allen not in the team is a real head scratcher. Surely play him in Ah Chee’s spot if we have to, rather than not in the side at all?

Oscar isn't even listed as an emergency, Waterman is.

"Petrucelle, Schofield and Rotham will be on standby for the round four fixture as emergencies alongside athletic forward Jake Waterman."

Very underwhelming changes.

We got a proper ruckman in to support Nic - :whitecheck:

We have mixed up the forward line with a high pressure forward and debutant - :whitecheck:

We've shuffled Deck Chairs down back - meh. Wouldn't be surprised if Schoey is late in for Gov.

He’s not a ruck despite his willingness to battle hard. Dropping him because he’s not a good ruckman is silly. Instead, just don’t play him in the ruck.

Could surely take Ah Chee’s spot up forward (191cm vs 189cm, and shown much much much much much much much much much more). Mobile around the ground, can take a grab down the line. I just don’t get his absence at all.

Oscar has said he is not 191cm anymore, he is closer to 195. But I'm just splitting hairs with that.

I'm not sure why he was dropped, but he isn't listed as an emergency, Waterman is.

Then who'll fly for the speckies?

Either he’s sore which we’re not privy to, or this is a very telling decision about what position they consider players to be.

Assuming Allen is healthy, his absence and Waterman in the emergencies means that Allen is a ruckman to them now. Waterman is the forward on standby. Brander is a full time “mid” which we already knew.

Really hope we don’t waste Oscar Allen’s developmental years making him pinch hit in the ruck and not getting a great crack at a KPF role.
