We need wholesale change and we need it fast. I think swinging TMac back is a bad idea, mainly because he is underdone and will get smoked by Riewoldt.

Even though C wag had a shocker, over 5 rounds he has been better than J wag.
5 Changes seems like alot unless forced but could be a blessing after such a short week with 4 day turn around, Reading this thread im getting extremely confident but realise that it wont be as easy as it appears and im sure melbourne will be up for the fight after all the press about them.

Just a side question: With the melbourne team being 'slow' I reall cant understand the inclusion of Preuss,Sure he is a big man and is difficult to out mark but you just lose so much with rotations and pace around the ground. I really do question his inclusion and as an opposition supporter am hoping he is not dropped for this game with the speed of our team i see Preuss as being the player that will be the player we could expose

So basically what you’re saying is the only bloke you are worried about is Preuss. Fair call too, he likes hurting guys.

5 Changes isn't a lot if you'd seen our performance last week ... Lucky not to be more to be honest.

Preuss has come in and been our most dangerous forward, while also being one of the only blokes in the team with any genuine attack on the opposition. He has made a slow forward line even slower, that's true, but the biggest problem there is the rest of the forward set up.

Whilst he has kicked 8 goals in 5 games, It makes your foward line extremely predictable and easy to defend , There is no movement around the foward line as your fowards are expecting the ball to go to the giants.

Well to be fair, we've got 3 talls down there, so in theory, if they're working together, we should have 3 different options to go to each team. The problem is, we just go to one spot, and all 3 of them end up there, so without any crumbers, the ball comes out without much fuss. The world can see it, yet the coaches have yet to show any inclination to remedying it at either selection or in game plan.

Preuss is the only one of the 3 talls looking at all dangerous right now. Your argument would have merit if TMac and Weid were getting a kick but they aren't.

All round smaller faster team with those changes. I like em
Yeah, a shame to lose Preuss given he's been really good, but more speed with Jeffy and Lockhart, and more (hopefully 2 way) run with ANB and Stretch, and at least the ball isn't basically conceded as soon as it hits Smith's feet.

**** just realised we didnt pick a second tall defender. JR or TL to kick 12 between em. hopefully we can get it to ground and just ******* run and hit up a LEADING forward none on this dump it to 12 players standing together

Quite frankly, the most pathetic, ridiculous changes I could have hoped for.

Happy for Garlett to get a crack, had a yarn to him on Saturday and really nice bloke. Happy with Lockhart and fine with stretch to get another go..

But tim smith would miss the water if he fell out of a boat, anb would miss the boat edge... and we just made mckernan, membrey and Bruce all look like superstars, yet we go with a 1 tall defender set up again. Christ. I understand we have injuries to certain players, but leaving hibberd or hore on last year's Coleman medalist, and frost on lynch, (who was excellent Saturday arvo I thought without any help from his lazy midfielders and exposed fellow defenders) is just asking for a paddling.

The time has come for asada to intervene on our selection panel/coaches, I'm sure they all sit around on the glass barby and throw darts at names on a whiteboard until they come up with 22.*

*I don't really think they are on crack, but I'm losing any semblance for explanation on some of these selections this year.

I reckon TMac will start back
Surely he cant after Goodwin saying he wont. I called for him to go back most of last year and got shut down so i aint saying shit this year Frost ended up doing the job but yeah once again looking for 2nd tall. Hopefully with a smaller forward line we stop dump kicking it and forwards actually lead to space.

Would have liked to see Lewis dropped but good changes. TMac definitely starts back now, need a KPD for each of Lynch and Riewoldt. Get him out of Weideman's way - they've both been disappointing this way, but Weideman at least has some presence unlike TMac who might as well not even be playing. Shattered about Preuss, would like to see Garlett at his feet but I guess part of recruiting him as a backup ruck for Gawn is managing him carefully too.

I reckon you guys look really, really good on paper, tbh. Not sure why you picked the Wagners at all, so getting ANB and Garlett back makes you stronger I reckon. Hunt hasn't been good from what I've seen but is the kind of player that can kill us, so I'm nervous about him. This will be a good game but I've changed my tip to Melbourne.

These are the actual changes?

Frost down back by himself is a disaster waiting to happen, they will kick 10 in the first quarter before we push TMac back.
