Changes vs Richmond

Redpath at the MCG worries me, Richmond will only play the one ruckman so no need for a second ruck.

Want to see Grant play whole game so perhaps we can go a little smaller and bring in Hunter as sub.

Didn't see the practice match last week however on exposed form if Stevens is up and about I would prefer him at this stage to Honeychurch, his kicking last weekend was poor.

So in: Hunter, Stevens

Out: Redpath Honeychurch.

Goodes might be a good candidate for the Sub this week.

Goodes was at his best in the last when the frenetic pace had slowed somewhat. I think he's the perfect sub candidate, not just because of his pace, but also his versatility. Can play all parts of the ground if needed.

No change for mine, except for maybe Goodes for Hrovat if he's ready.
As much as I don't rate big Red I am not a fan of dropping players after one bad game, give him a few more, hopefully he makes me look like a moron.

Hunter in for Honey... Like a lot of what Honey brought, but his disposal at times just wasn't up to it. He'll definitely make it, just needs some time.

Hunter to wear the vest.

Our Rd 2 game against Richmond is on fox footy right now...
God our team is so different this time around.

I like it when opposition supporters predict big wins, it makes it more satisfying when they lose. Richmond by 60 [emoji4]

I don't see anyone here suggesting we'd win big, unless you're just trying to be a troll
In which case, I award you a bronze star

Let them have it.

Richmond will never make top 4 with their current list or win a flag. Few good players mushed together with other club's rejects.

Boy howdy you're right, it's going to be very satisfying for us :D

Nobody here is predicting we'll win big. In fact most posters here expect we'll lose, but not by much.

We're a faster team than Richmond, and it seems out fitness levels have improved across the board. Jong was able to run out a full game (and a very high intensity game at that!). Jong, Dahlhaus and Grant could give the Tigers a lot of headaches.

I know people think that the MCG will be a disadvantage for us, but I'm looking at it a bit differently. Yes, coming out of defence Houli COULD cut us up, but our faster midfield could leave theirs in dust. If Minson can get a few taps to advantage, our mids could break away from theirs (Jong, anyone?) and deliver to an in-form Stringer. If Griffiths doesn't mark the ball we could use him as an avenue to run off and spark a counter attack. I'll trust Talia on Riewoldt if our midfield turns up on the day.

Looking forward to team selection and a competitive game on Saturday

:)

I'm not someone who often goes onto other team's Boards, simply because I think most of them are morons.

However Richmond take the cake.

I took a quick look, which incidentally became a long look, at their preview thread and by hell there are some tools on their board. The disrespect they show not just us, but every other team, is embarrassing for them. I say embarrassing, because if there is one team who have demonstrated who not to go about a rebuild and how to stagnate during their peak years, it's Richmond.

Their recruiting outside of their first pick over the last 8 years has been, at best, deplorable, and their lack of quality across the park will damn them to mediocrity for all time.

Whilst they will most likely win this week simply because they're older and they have more mature bodies, we will give them windburn as we go past them in the next 3-4 years.

I'm confident the game will be close this week, but I expect them to win by 10 points. However if we win, I may go onto their board and remind a few of them just how shit their club is.

Agree with this, reckon the G suits us now. We're much much fitter than before and obviously a lot quicker too. Plus we have a lot of tall targets up forward so the extra space in the forward line is important and it should hopefully make our skills look better too.

Our zone defense is going to have to be on though otherwise it could get ugly at times.

Carlton board for me. My god.

Just to put my opinion on team discussion in, I don't think there should be any changes. No one played bad enough last week to get dropped after a win IMO
