And that's the thing, a lot of ruckmen take a while to become consistent and good players. Laycock has also been plagued by injuries which would've been a huge set back early on in his career.
Although, you'd expect more of a work rate from Jason at the moment.

this thread shouldn't get too long this week. all they guys we would like to see back in the 1's didn't play for bendigo this week. ricky needs a month of solid footy before he is considered.

besides, nobody deserves to be dropped after the brisbane game.

Even Peverill played a solid game on Saturday night, winning some important loose ball contests!

With no known injuries, it's a great opportunity to name an unchanged side.

Laycock was a good target up forward too. Sure he shanked a couple, but he can kick as shown in the last quarter!

No change, were finally seeing some positives with a more settled side:

1. The team is gelling together with positions becoming more cemented
2. Our skills are on a major improve (3rd q against Brisbane wasnt the greatest)
3. Were breeding self confidence in one another!!!!

Dyson would come in if a change was required, otherwise it stays the same.

Laycock was good on Saturday night, didn't kick straight but gave us more around the ground, broke packs, competed, ran both ways and took a couple of grabs. He did everything we need of him.

agreed. people need to realise he is a BACKUP ruckman, and when he rests forward he can usually snag a few. i think the performances of hille are raising the expectations everyone has on our ruckman

The only possible out i could see would be to give neagle a game in the two's and bring in another taller defender to play on one of the Richmond forwards. I dont think changes will be made though as Knights has always said he is enjoying the consistency in our line up each week.
Does anyone know if Richo will be back? Ryder to play on him or if he goes to the wing do you think McPhee would be a good run with player to negate Richo's drive down forward?

Just read on the essendon website that Bachar Houli won't be back for another 2 weeks with a groin injury. Tayte Pears will also miss another 2 weeks.

Hocking and Hislop are very doubtful, but are a slight chance of coming in as well.
