changes vs richmond

Given the current form of Pears and Hooker, where will Hurley slot in exactly? If Morton is there tallest forward with Simmonds drifting forward at times, is there a need for Hurley to come in?

Would nonetheless love to see him get another game.

This may have already been mentioned, but did anyone see the article in todays paper, talking about Hurley possibly being brought in to play in the forward line this week?

Also I think Mcveigh will come back through the Vfl when he is ready to return.

I suggest that if Hurley plays forward that Bellchambers will retain his position.

This could be a scary match. With all the bs at richmond, two things are going to happen. They will come out unstoppable, and we will get beaten by 40+, or they will be pathetic and we will win by 40+. Can't see a close one here.

Out: Myers

Ins: Hurley

I feel Hurley is a certainty and I reckon Myers will have to make way for him to play in the backline.

Jetta may come in, but I would think this would depend on whether Zaha needs a spell or if NLM makes way for structural purposes.

I do think we need another crumber, so maybe Jetta in for NLM.

Over the next few weeks our midfield will also change quite dramatically, players will need to make way for McVeigh, Welsh, Skipworth, Prismall, Reimers.

I would predict:

McVeigh - Lonergan
Reimers - Dyson
Skipworth - Zaharakis
Prismall - Houli
Welsh - Slattery (with Hocking playing back-pocket)

If we can have a couple of injury free weeks, we will have a team that is very hard to get into.

Re: Wallace the Cling-On

where did this come from? lol

Well, I was just thinking that the sacking and re-instatement of Wallace would have a far greater impact on the game than any changes Knights can make to our team.

I just found this:"Senior Richmond players demanded meaningful on-field changes at yesterday's meeting with Wallace. "

............and I am stunned. How can the guy coach with any confidence? how can he make changes, shift guys around, even work the interchange? Is he supposed to text his Senior Players first? :D

Re: Wallace the Cling-On

Wallace's problem is that actually implementing meaningful on-field changes would mean his "senior" players would not be "on-field". Heh. :D
Have Richmond actually got any "Senior" players or are they just "Blokes" that have played at the club the longest? I bet a few of em had in the back of their mind what you just said Enki:D

Re: Wallace the Cling-On

Ok! Soooooooooo..... NLM will not be dropped guys as he is from an indigenous background.
Jetta and Atkinson should also play I think because of the Indigenous theme at the G.
So imo if Davey is not suspended the changes should be:

Out: Dyson, Slattery, Myers
In: Jetta, Atkinson, Hurley(hellyes)

Might also be nice to give Zaharakis a rest.

Re: Wallace the Cling-On

Yeah, not likely! Jetta has been in Bendigo's best for a few weeks and has probably pushed for selection and NLM wasn't too bad last week so he will probably stay. But from all repots Atkinson has been poor and his disposal has been letting him down. We are actually trying to win this game, no way is sentiment pushing someone out for Atkinson.

Re: Wallace the Cling-On

His our JON

Firstly, it's "He's" not "his", a contraction of he & is. Secondly, what part of my statement wasn't clear? Just because you dislike him doesn't mean he is useless, so no matter how many threads you feel the need to voice your opinion in sheer weight of repetition doesn't bolster your argument any.

Also, no matter how much you dislike him he has at times shown glimpses of potential and has influenced games, so to say he is equivalent to Jarrad Oakley-Nicholls is puerile vitriol and is not a valid attempt at criticism.

Re: We play Jetta we lose simple -

We play Jetta we lose simple as

100% BullSh*T

Excluding injury riddled 2008, Essendon teams with Leroy playing in it win 71.42% of the time.

In our dire injury plagued 2008 season, without Jetta in the side we lost 100% of the games.

Statistically if we play Jetta we win 52% of the time based since he came to Essendon in 2007.
