We can't afford to sit Jamar out. He's a big bodied tall that can go forward or back. Having mitch, Jamar and Stef in the side would be very handy.

I'd like to see Stef playing in the ruck at some point and have jamar head to the backline with frawley. I think Jamar could provide some strength to the backline not to mention some height.

I'm looking forward to seeing tappy back in the mix!

In: Couch, Moloney, Davis, Blease, Fitzpatrick & Tapscott
Out: Green, Bate, Bail, McKenzie, Rivers and Bartam.

It really won't matter who we field; we will get smashed by the tiges!!! They have a lot more endeavor and genuine class, we do not!!

You recon we have hit rock bottom and 'crisis' material... Give it a few weeks, it is only going to get worse boys... Been saying for a long time our players are soft and complacent... we are finally getting found out!!

If i were Neeld i would work out who our best 22-24 players are and try playing them week in week out.. The more changes the less settled the side will be and this will not help the development.

Surprised why not everyone is naming a Couch Debut

Not only do debutants get your team excited in some way but you drafted him to play him being a mature aged player. You also promoted him to play him, otherwise your throwing money down the drain, something melbourne can hardly afford to do and something Jimmy would be happy to do.

What else did you expect of him, 40 possessions in the VFL , does that grant him a game. He can also play both forward and midfield.

Scully, Davey and Sylvia leaves 3 holes. Magner has filled one of those holes, you need to find 2 others. Couch is one for me.

C'mon mate, we are getting potted by the media, don't need twerps from other clubs to jump on the bandwagon!! And in relation to your post, he will play in replacement of Jordie Mckenzie next week. We have been reluctant to play him so far as Magner, Jones, Moloney and Mckenzie are too similar to have on the park at any one time.

Rivers? this is a joke right? was clearly one of our best against the eagles.. and y the hell would u drop bate? use some logic plz and don't just use the same old players as excuses.. you obviously didnt watch the game if u think these two should be dropped..

Out: Green, MacDonald, McKenzie, Bartram, Bennell, (don't think I need a fifth cos can't see Syl being right unfortunately)

In: Morton- desperately need someone who can spread nd cover the ground..
Couch- deserves a game
Tappy- we desperately need some grunt and some foot skills
Sylvia- I'm hoping for a miracle
Martin- jamar is playing shit nf he's best 22
Moloney- if fit

And give Bate a full game FFS

Why on earth would they be complacent?

Revised:

In: Couch, Morton, Fitzpatrick, Tapscott, Strauss
Out: McKenzie, Bennell, Bartram, Green, Bail

In: Tapscott, Strauss, Moloney, Couch, Morton, Martin
Out: Bennell, Dunn, Macdonald, Bartram, McKenzie, Bate

Will never happen but a guy can dream.

We'll still see Bartram spudding it up in the back half but being commended for his effort, and Bate turning it over like it's a hot potato but gathering some impressive possession stats while he's at it.

What you recon guys like Green are really stressed about getting dropped. If they were they would go back to the 2's and burn! I would say that our senior list (including 3rd year players) have had a great ride to date and are finding it difficult to find another gear now we we need them!!! If you think that our list under the guidance of Dean Bailey did not become complacent, then you are lost...

Sorry, actually didn't mean Rivers.. Thought he was good against the Lions as well.. But as for Bate; i know he had a good preseason, but i know a lot of footballers that are good on the track when the footy's are put away!! He has poor foot skills and only bombs it long when he gets his hands on the ball..

Bate is no good.. Has not been a regular afl player, because he simply cannot use the ball well enough.

If you consider Bate to be a genuine guy who can take the game on an provide grunt in the midfield, then maybe you should help out our recruiters. Our major problem as a unit is our use by hand and foot and Bate doesn't add a solution.

Im not too sure why he has been named as sub, because subs are impact players, not plodders!!!

Only reason I can see them playing Jamar is to increase his value when GWS come knocking.........AA fraud.

Green - see ya.

Bennell - very disappointing. WACA is his type of ground / space and he was terrible.

WACA? Did you even wAtch the game before making a stupid post like this?

I am going by casey form here and giving players at least two matches to prove themselves:

OUT: Green - Had his chance to redeem himself and didn't....2 very poor games in a row from an experienced player is not good enough...should retire at the end of the year

MacDonald - Providing nothing, his disposal and decision making is appalling...should be delisted at the end of the year

Bail - Just does not do enough...good depth player...thats about it

Mckenzie - Doesn't seem to be 100% and his disposal has been very poor

IN: Couch - 2 really good games in the VFL has to be rewarded

Moloney - Hopefully his over his groin complaint

Martin - Please give him more ruck time!!

Morton - Apparently has been playing well in the VFL...time to give him a go

FB: Bartram Frawley Rivers
HB: Garland Mcdonald Grimes
C: Jones Trengove Watts
HF: Howe Clark Dunn
FF: Petterd Jamar Bennell
R: Martin Moloney Magner

I: Morton Bate Sellar

SUB: Couch

Players who need to perform or should be dropped:

* Bennell
* Petterd
* Sellar
* Rivers

no one keen on davis?

Not up to it yet. No room for him in the side.

We won't make any more than 3-4 changes max. Martin and Moloney will probably come straight back in with Couch and possibly Morton as well. Tapscott still needs another week or two at Casey to build up his fitness base IMO.

I get that but maybe its just me but id rather see davis play off half back than morton... if mortons not going to play on a wing thanks but no thanks for me

For all his short comings Morton still has much more to offer our side, at this point in time, than Davis. We need some experience out there and we need it now. Happy for others to shoot me down here as I'm well aware of where Morton stands amongst the supporters but he can still find the footy and provide some run for us.

One thing we have noticed about the game plan is that we still find it difficult to spread and find the footy. When he was up and about Morton was fantastic at finding space to get the ball. We don't have too many like him at the moment.

Certainly not saying Davis won't be up to it in the future but Morton is ahead of him at the moment, and he has been playing better football for Casey as well.

Not saying that i dont like what Morton offers when hes up and going... I just think that playing him off half back is a waste when we are in desperate need of outside midfielders to off set Magner, Jones, Trengove and the like.

Honestly I would rather have morton in than davis but it just frustrates me that he's not being played where we need him!

Rivers was fantastic against the Weagles.

Amen. He plays well every other week and people don't seem to notice, boggles the mind. My only selection wish this week is for Bate to start the match. Would love a fit Sylvia, he has a thing for Richmond.

Honestly didn't watch the game on the weekend, so only going on other posts about who was bad/good etc.

This is a must win game. We lose this, and the season's shot to sh*t if it isn't already. It's a game we can win even though we'll start outsiders.

Potential Ins

*Couch(the guy has earnt his spot and we need guys who can find the ball)
*Moloney(Obvious inclusion if fit)
*Tapscott(some toughness in our F50 is needed)
*Blease(this team is desperate for pace)
*Martin/Fitzpatrick(One of these should play. Fitz has improved greatly from last season. Might be worth a look if Martin doesn't get up)
*Morton(now or never. Can provide run on the wings)

Potential Outs

*Green(game has gone past him)
*Benell(The guy simply doesn't do enough when promoted)
*JMac(I'm assuming he played against WCE? I really don't know what he provides. Too many errors in his game)
*McKenzie(Sounds like he needs a good couple of games at Casey)
*Sellar(Not sure he will be needed as Richmond don't play as tall as WCE)
*Bail(I like him, but is he doing enough?)

I have no idea where Davey is at. I'd play him if he is right to go. We need a crumbing forward desperately. Sylvia is an obvious inclusion if fit, but I'm guessing he's still a week or 2 away. And give Bate a full game for christ sake. Make Tapscott the sub and ease him back in. Bate has the potential to get 30+ posessions, give him a go. Refreshing the list with several changes might not be a bad thing after a trip to Perth. If we don't win this one, we might not win a game for months. Massive game for us...
