we're the saints, a draw then massive loss was always going to be the outcome. our only quality is building strength of character for primary school kids.

but if we're gonna mention a second crack, at least we had one, your 'crack' was obscured by a wall of brown shame. But hey, darling's trynna make it right this year

School girls in particular

fairly uninspired banter, yet not unexpected

you guys will smash us, and everyone on the saints board wanted liam ryan

p.s. thanks for takin that list clogger crips!

I'm a Jacky Stevens fan but we don't need Hutchings in the team to exclusively tag him, head to head should be fine. He's not Dangerfield.

Any chance Parto could stop getting stiffed by Simpson on a weekly basis and get thrown a bone? :skull:

I'm mean I'm really not fussed, but you chose to draft him and then punt him so far down the pecking order it's not even funny.

I hate seeing picks wasted, and that's what this is if he straight up wants to leave despite accumulating big numbers in the WAFL.

Look at what Cole did with his opportunity.

No one deserves to be dropped

Players don’t like being rested ...they want to play

You do t like giving up you’re spot youve worked hard for ...its round 11 not round 19

If Shuey coming in and Venables later in the year phases Sheed out of the team I wouldn't complain...I don't know what it is but he doesn't instill me with much confidence, the way he plays seems surplus to our requirements, maybe it's just him coming back from injury....

If Shuey came in for Yeo and Masten came out for Partington I'd be happy.

Yeo's playing with an injury, so is Masten. Those types of injuries might warrant a 2 week rest but Shep and Gaff getting bumped and bruised is different to actually having ligament/muscle damage that is a risk of becoming worse, they should play (they both have amazing runs of games in a row #jonasruinedarecord).

That way we see what Partington has to offer, even if he plays inside and Shuey goes to the wing but chops out with him on occasion the tighter the game gets (if Partington is struggling).

If we got Shuey a less contested game coming back from injury and delivering the ball forward/being around goals, you just know he'll have 1 or 2 goal assists and kick one himself.

Yeo & Masten rested this week will give us an opportunity to see what other options we have to play their roles if anything were to happen later in the year to either of them.

Rather we test what works and what doesn't now than cross our fingers and pray during finals.
Trading % booster and a potential loss to a bottom 10 team for knowledge is worth it.
We should put the 1 game lead on the ladder to good use.

With the bye coming up I doubt we'll rest anyone just for the sake of it but a 6 day break after travelling back from a hard fought game in Melbourne every likelihood there'll be a couple of players that struggle to get up.

For a guy who's game is based on his ability to run and cover ground hamstring tightness is a problem so Masten would have to be doubtful

Hard to know specifically who else is sore so for now I'm going with Shuey in for Masten with other changes, if any, dependant on fitness

*if Masten is right to go he stays and we spin the wheel on which of hutchings or Achee goes out, most likely an unlucky hutch

Liam Ryan (ankle) back in full skills training at WC, flying around the track, expected in mix for Sydney after bye. Shuey (hammy) and Mackenzie (toe) in main group. Masten running laps with hamstring bandaged, under a cloud for Saints.

Nic Nat out there despite speculation of back soreness, no sign of old man JK - which is the norm for Tuesday sessions these days. Venables made a brief appearance, should be back training next week.

Josh Duane‏ @Josh_Duane 4m4 minutes ago
No JK @WestCoastEagles training. Mastens right quad strapped. Sheed, Lycett and Yeo also on light duties. Shuey a certainty @9NewsPerth

Not sure what the deal is with Parto, but would also like to see him get a game, see what he brings to the mix..

Is there an east Perth game for us next weekend or is that a bye for the WAFL boys too?

East Perth play West Perth on Monday then get the following weekend off, at the same time as the seniors.

Yeo had 28 touches, If that's what he can do injured I am happy for him to stay. How did you come up with that conclusion that he is playing inured?? sore maybe but no injured player can play in middle and have that kind of impact. Once again, what evidence do you have to support masten is injured??

Look at what Cole did with his opportunity.

He played 6 games last year and did sweet FA despite being in similar if not better form in the WAFL prior to his debut.

Maybe he can still make it, but he's clearly not doing something the coaches want him to...

Looking like another Lamb atm.

For me Sheed stays regardless. Same treatment as redden, he has shown his class before, so unless injured he stays in. Liability at this point for me are Hutch and Masten, we can easily give Masten's role to Ah chee and put shuey in for Hutch. Ideally Ryan gets Ah chee's role up front. That is our best 22 with DV Petch Ainsworth Hutch and Masten as back ups for injuries.

Thought he did alright in his games last year considering he was playing out of position as a small forward.

Thought hutchings did well on mitchell in the first half but not sure if we'll need a tagger against the saints

Hutch was awesome on Mitchell, look at champion data, Mitchell was practically ineffective all day, all of his possessions were rubbish. Just dont let Hutch get the ball himself!!!

I think that was more a reflection on how Tom Mitchell plays than on the effect of the Hutchings tag
