Needs some game time in the 1's to pick up the speed of the gametoumpas 3 contested possessions, under 70% de always gets caught
needs more time in vfl i just dont want him to get destroyed like rest of our early picks looks like he will be good player but just hasnt picked the pace up yet of AFL
we picked him up cause he is a good kick but if he is for ever getting caught or rushing then what good is that going to be for him in the long run confidence will be shot like it was in first game
yet
The kid comes in and picks up 13 touches (his best effort yet) and you want to put him back to the reserves again and replace him with Dom Barry?
We need to stop putting guys in for a week and then back for 3! Let him string a number of games together in the ones and the results will come!
You are being pretty harsh on a kid in his 5th game who was far from our worst today!

Out: McKenzie, Dunn, (Dawes)
In: Magner, Strauss, (Sellar)
Mckenzie's skills need a lot of work. Can do that at Casey. Dunn is just dumb. Aside from his big kicks and niggly nature, there isn't much he offers. Would rather someone who can use the ball well most of the time come in.
If Dawes doesn't make it I'd put Sellar into defence and swith Pedo forward.
Tapscott has been ordinary and could easily be dropped. Maybe if we elevate Couch he'll make way.
Fitzy hasn't done much in his 2 games so far, but they were against very strong sides when we were getting flogged. 1 more game to try and really show something, then potentially back to Casey.
Article on the AFL site says Frawley hopes to return for this game, so maybe he's a chanceFrawly is 4 weeks away.
We have nothing on the list, thats the whole problem.i said give some1 a crack maybe barry i want to see what else we have got on this list if he is playing any good or some1 else is playing good, he has played 5 games how many did he actually earn?? how many would i give him a pass mark?? 0, not up to it yet cant just gift him games if ya gonna gift him games then gift the whole list. evens, jones, terlich have came in and earned their spot each week thats 1 thing we are doing wrong just giving games letting them play shit and giving them another game geelong, collingwood, sydney, west coast, freo ect wait til they have earnt their spot then if they play good they stay in if they dont they are out for your 3 weeks

It looks as though Neeld rates Toumpas pretty highly according to this statement.
"The ability just to complete a possession chain is frustrating and the guys leading the way in terms of doing that - Dean Terlich, Matt Jones, Jimmy Toumpas - have been here five minutes.
No doubt there is a bit of 'Look what I have done right' with comments like that, I think he just wants to remind people he has done a few things ok.Neeld really puzzles me with his constant referencing of players that he specifically has recruited, every ******* post match conference he mentions players he's recruited.
For ****s sake Neeldy, why don't you have a crack at giving the blokes already on the list some confidence? Is this how you talk to the players as well?
I mean seriously, it's ******* frustrating.

Notice he doesn't talk about Byrnes, Rodan or Gillies?
Doesn't Riewoldt play for St Kilda? Sellar or Pedersen for that match up?
I like Neeldy, but sometimes he's seems that he clutches at straws and slights other hard working players like Nath Jones, Col Garland, and today guys like Watts and Trengove who tried to make things happen.

Get a sense that he feels a bit let down by some parts of the club , like he is being hung out to dry for a mess in the makeing long before he got there. Jones,Garland and Trengove have all gone to post match media with Neeld, can't be easy doing these after game press interviews with the game still playing on your mind. I'd probably end up telling them to get f@%$#&^![]()
Dunn sprung to mind as soon as Neeld said that, Dunn's role is to kick out of defence, so many turnovers all season. Would have Frawley in for him but if he's not up for the game then I don't know. Also Neeld has said that the senior players who turn it over could well be dropped?
Who do we think he means?
Dunn had 5 clangers, Pedersen had 5, Rodan had 2 from 12 touches and a few fumbles and stupid decisions, McKenzie had 2 and a whole lot of panicky handballs, Tom McDonald with 4 (but surely not), Jamar with 6 (unlikely - he's a ruckman).
Couldn't agree more.
Back to Casey for skill practice.
Hope he does improve because I like him as a footballer. Just needs more polish.
