Wow, 9 years down the track.

Malthouse as a character witness?

I'm just disappointed it's a Saints home game (only just realised) because it means there won't be many Melbourne fans there to boo the shit out of him.

Cheer squad gave him a good serve out at Casey earlier in the year.

He won't play, wait for the facts to come out before you comment though

Good call though I suppose we can say two things. One, we don't know if Milne will plead guilty or not guilty to the charges, though it does seem safe to assume he will plead not guilty, and two, the prosecutor reckons it can prove at least one of the charges.

But back to the game at hand, yeh he definately wont play this week.

Word is that Clisby will be playing Saturday night.

Haven't seen any Casey this year but hope he makes it. We desperately need a good option coming out of defence. Hope he doesn't get a green vest.

He would of he makes it. Hasn't lit it up for mine.

Out: Neeld
In: Clarkson

What?! There's time!

Would rather see Couch than Clisby. If we can get the ball in the midfield more often and keep it locked in there or in our forward half for a greater percentage of the game, then we would't need as much run out of defence.

6 of one, half a dozen the other for mine. We need to win the ball in the guts, but we also need some quality disposers of the ball to really take advantage of it. Teams structure up so well defensively these days (bar us) that the quick bomb out of a contest is more likely to hurt you on the rebound than help you attack. At the same time, having a good outside runner like Clisby would be redundant if he wasn't allowed the time and space to use his skills.
Given this year is a write off, and Clark should be given ample time to recover, what would people think about making Clark LTI then promoting both? I think they could each definitely play a role in the side for us at the moment but if we can only pick one it's a hard choice.

All for it. I can't see any benefit in Clark playing for the rest of the year, given it'd only be the last few games. 'Play the kids' should definitely be the motto (within reason) and there's no point risking Clark at this stage. Would rather see him fit and firing come Round 1 2014.

Agree, I'd give Fitzpatrick a run until the end of the year and get Clark ready for next season.
