I'd rather have Priddis back in the team than Masten. That's how much I don't want Masten back in the team.
I'd rather have mcginnity back in the team than Masten.
Not a fan of bringing back tried and tested players but that being said, the bloke started the year pretty well and most here were praising him. The fact that he might be playing for his AFL career, might see him regain some of his better form.

Also **** mcginnity bloke is worst footballer i have seen and i get no reason why fans loved him.

Out: Schofield (unlucky), Shuey (inj)
In: Vardy, Jetta

B: Sheppard, MacKenzie, Barrass
HB: Hurn, McGovern, Duggan
C: Gaff, Mitchell, Yeo
HF: Cripps, Darling, Jetta
F: LeCras, Kennedy, Petrie
R: Vardy, Sheed, Redden
I: Nelson, Hutchings, Partington, Karpany
E: Schofield, Cole, Masten (travelling)

Assuming Vardy and Jetta will be available and Priddis, Lycett won't be. Shuey's looking banged up and could use a break, even if that costs us.

OUT: Lecras (Omitted), Cripps (Sore)
IN: Jetta, Vardy

Rest Petrie/Vardy forward, rest a mid forward.

Going for more land of the giants?

We've been taller than that this year. Most of the year we've had the double ruck. Our small forwards are beyond demonstrably pathetic (Lecras, Cripps) and both deserve to be dropped on current form. Drop any tall defender you want and we're back to a normal side height wise if it's somehow an important statistic. Resting mid forward is small. Petrie/Vardy/Lycett have been resting forward all year. 100% we've played taller.

Yeah lets play 4 key defenders 2 key forwards and 2 ruckmen on a quick deck under the roof against a tea that plays 1 ruck and 2 key forwards... what could go wrong

You have the same ruckman coming in and you're not dropping Petrie. So you're saying play 2 rucks anyway. You have the same key forward, you're just 1 key def less than me. I have no idea why you don't just boil it down to "we should have 1 less key def" and then argue that you want a HB dropped over a small forward which is fine with me. I think 1 of our mids can rest forward. You think we don't need Hutchings to tag so we can keep our underperforming small forwards so we meet some height statistic. That's totally fine. What's not fine is then squashing that together with the exact same structure bar 1 key defender difference in team height and then barking about it being "Land of the giants" when our team sheet is 1 tall different. I mean it's totally fair to argue about it, but you could just say "I think that's 1 key def too many" rather than "Land of the giants".

OUT:

Karps: 8 disposals at 62% DE. Did a couple of good things in the last but pretty disappointing game IMO.

UNSURE:

Nelson: 11 disposals at 36%. Had a really poor game up until the last when he bolted down the wing. Might hang on to his spot. My gut says give him another game.

Hutch: Dirty day. Probably stays on weight of recent tagging jobs well done.

Le Cras: Kicked two goals and had 20 disposals. Went at 45% DE with 9 clangers. IMO he was terrible. They won't drop him though.

INS:

From Priddis, Jetta (if fit), Masten, Hill, Wellingham, Cole.

* Cue howls of outrage at ins.

Except the day he kicked 5 goals for us (I think it was 5?)!! He was worth every cent that day.

I hope my choice of gif improves the quality of my posting in your eyes. If not, I can only apologise. Masto did work hard but must have had a similar DE in the WAFL on the weekend with a fair few clangers. Why drop one for it and bring in another with the same issue?

Rubbish he did dude. Prove it.

And further, I said the ins are 'from'.

I would be very surprised if Jetts is back with in the next month from what i hear
I'm not certain, but I think your strike-rate in 2017 has been worse than avishka5 :D

Don't really have the time to go over the match and post a video, but he turned it over a lot. Like, a lot. Which was a shame because he got in good positions and was quite influential. As was Le Cras today in spite of his clangers (especially in the 2nd half).

I watched all the game. Did you? Masten could get 45 touches at 90% DE, find a cure for cancer, solve famine in Africa, and you would say he should be delisted and dragged to The Hague.

I can see a Priddis inclusion this week. But surely he doesn't get a game after the performance from our midfield today.
Surely they can't make that same mistake again like when they dropped Redden & brought Priddis back in. If there's an injury (eg Shuey) then maybe, but then would Masten be better. As we are still in the race to make finals, we must put out our best team on the park every week. However would like to see Priddis have his farewell game at the last home & away match at Subi.

Again, as I said to you before, I've been one of Masten's biggest fans on the board over the years. He's been a very solid contributor to the club and I'm sure that if he stays then he'll prove more useful than depth.

But his form has been poor and his usually solid disposal isn't where it should be. His confidence is down I think, plus those damn Burleys and the conditions probably didn't help much. I wouldn't be bringing him in this week based on that performance, no. Just needs to tighten the disposal up.

I tire of this argument, I suppose we'll see Thursday night.
