True. Even when they were average in past years, suns would pencil this one in for a winWe are favourites now. Not sure I agree, GC don't tend to lose up there
Have you not watched Lachie this year fumbles are gone from him,30 degrees and 77% humidity on Saturday night in Darwin. The ball will be like a cake soap. Midfield rotations will be crucial plus no injuries and a smart use of the sub. I would be happy to leave out Busslinger and play a gut runner in Poulter as the sub. The ball will be on the ground a lot in the conditions. VDM and McNeill ball handling will be of a concern they quite often are not clean with a dry ball. The old fashion kick off the ground could be a good tactic rather than trying pick up the ball under pressure to gain territory.

The conditions should bring everyone's standard down to the level you're referring other then the freaks like Bont.VDM and McNeill ball handling will be of a concern they quite often are not clean with a dry ball. Yes, hard to make any changes and would not if we were playing in normal conditions. Also, McNeill's ball handling as improved if it extends to this game I will not query it again.Have you not watched Lachie this year fumbles are gone from him,
Dropping Buss puts Cleary on Reed/Walter was slippery in Canberra and he was fine
We have won the last 3 games by an average of 11 goals no need for any forced changes
I'm not sure you're watching football anymoreNo changes for me. Bye is in three weeks, players can grind it out until then.
A little concerned about the potential slippery conditions. I don't care who is in the 23, as long as they are good at ground level, and got sticky hands for wet balls. If we are clean, we should win. If we struggle to adjust to the conditions, I can see a repeat of the last game up that way.
Like I said over there... if he was going to be rested it would be for the game after against Essendope"Dogs mate reckons libba rested"
From the Suns board. I mean we bat deep enough to do so. But I am guessing it is just his mates gut feel, than anything concrete? I'm sure our usual ITK will be able to confirm which.
Possibly, due to the opponent.Like I said over there... if he was going to be rested it would be for the game after against Essendope
Probably won't have any rest given the bye is closePossibly, due to the opponent.
But on the other hand, the Suns game still makes sense, given wet and humid games are very taxing on the legs and can take some time to recover from. Especially if you're an older player. Guess we will just have to wait for the teams to be released.

Why would we concede before the game has even startedWe probably will rest a bunch as with no other evidence to go on but Geelong also electing to rest a bunch too in their Darwin game last year (and effectively taking it on the field too but we won't do that).
I won't be surprised if it's more than Libba rested.
Beveridge said yesterday we will be largely unchanged but if it was in round 6 after short breaks it would have been different... I do think next week may be differentI get the temptation to rest one or two, but barring someone being sore, I doubt we go down that path.
We've already played a number of games in unusually hot conditions this year and got through it ok.
Also, the bye isn't that far away.
Our strength is midfield depth and versatility, so I think we'll go in at full strength, amping up the rotations and sharing the load.
Before Bont came back into the team Bevo said in one of his post-games pressers that Libba is shouldering too much load and would need a 2 week spell. That may not mean this week tho.I get the temptation to rest one or two, but barring someone being sore, I doubt we go down that path.

After Essendon next week, we have a 5 day break, then a bye. Might be a good time. Before Bont came back into the team Bevo said in one of his post-games pressers that Libba is shouldering too much load and would need a 2 week spell. That may not mean this week tho.
Zero chance we drop him against the Cats. And after the bye we have the Hawks. Two teams that will be up there in the finals and we need to beat for the top four. Will probably just be Essendon, then the bye if anything. After Essendon next week, we have a 5 day break, then a bye. Might be a good time.
