Very surprised Disco was dropped after he played well against the Suns late last year. Thought there was a good chance we'd see Petty, Disco and JVR in the F50 again with May back.

McDonald, May, Lever and Petty in the one backline would be absolutely ridiculous, especially since two are geriatrics who can't bend down to pick the ball up.

Playing McDonald or Petty forward would be equally stupid.

Reckon there's a lot of romance with the Melk goodwill. He's played many poor games than good since returning from the ACL.

I'm ok with him replacing a tall but it looks like one of T Mac or Petty swings forward, as well as JVR, AJ and Fritsch.

And I feel for Taj. He's very likely not up to it but how can we tell if he only gets half games as a sub and then is dropped immediately?

I could see Melk being the sub.

As much of a spud that Billings is I thought he looked ok in the preseason games. Laid a few good tackles and linked up well, just made me want to put my foot through the telly everytime he butchered a shot on goal.
