Could nt Disagree more - this game is a final for both teams. I think we've set ourselves to give it our best
Yeah, it's not really my point, I think we are looking ahead. Not saying we are not trying to win this game, but we have fast tracked players in order to have them better prepared for the weeks to come.

Holy shit. We must change our senior team more than any other club.

I thought we had a few changes, but you've got us covered. For interest sake:

Out: Goodes, Bird, Cunningham, Tippett, Jetta, Pyke, R.Shaw, Richards
In: Z.Jones, Heeney, Rose, Mills, McGlynn, Sinclair, Hewett, Nankervis

Jong plays

We lose

It's that's simple and has been for 12 months against decent teams.

No one wants to hear it but it's now beyond me being annoying it's a dead set certainty

You wonder why people antagonise you, but repetitive posts like this is why.

Unless he single handedly wanders around the ground all day & doesn't get a stat, he won't be the reason we lose. Unless every single thing he does turns to shit, he won't be the reason we lose. Name me any game where he is the sole cause of a defeat & I'll retract this post

Does anyone else think Honeychurch was a bit stiff to be dropped? Played exceptional in his first game against port, was ordinary againts Geelong but most of them were. Maybe Bevo decided to go with the bigger bodies on the smaller ground ?

Smaller ground?

Unfortunately think he's gone at the end of the year. Has been treated terribly by the MC.

Not me. HC just isn't that good IMO. Like Roberts, he should be depth that makes way when the cream returns.

He didn't do himself any favours with his performance against Geelong. He was being beaten for pace and clean skills below the knees when he was matched up against 190+cm KPD's.

Too many in front of him . A limited player with limited ability.
Been very good in the VFL no doubt , He was good to fair v Port , woeful v Cats.
So with the ins this week he had to go.
Thought he was better than good to fair against Port and everyone was woeful against Geelong.
Also wouldn't say a bloke who's only played two VFL games in 12 months is ahead of him.
Love Clay but I think Honeychurch deserved another week (at least) ahead of him.

So you drop a player immediately?
Think it's pretty obvious he's not in the future plans of the MC, hopefully he carves out a nice career elsewhere.

I meant it more in the sense it was poor game immediately before best 22 players return, so he didn't do himself any favours with this specific performance when the he's competing with the likes of Jong for a spot who played a much better game.

After 5 horrible games. Yet he continues to get chance after chance, but Honeychurch is straight out after being made to work for it all year.
Doesn't make sense to me unless he's not in our future plans. It's a shame but we move on and wish him well.

Give me a half fit Smith in front of honey anyday. Game is to important Immortal .
I agree it does seem harsh , cause we had many very poor players v the cats.
My problem is , I just don't see what Honey has to offer at AFL level.

I'd like to see him actually be given a chance to see if he has anything to offer at AFL level. As it stands he gets two weeks (one good, one bad) after knocking down the door all year and it's straight out for a bloke that's done three knees and only started running a couple of months ago.
Rate him or not, it doesn't give us much chance to see if he offers anything.
