I was listening to the WAFL diving back from Denmark today

Giles 23 hit outs, 3 goals

For structure he comes in presuming Lycett gets rubbed out

Priddis comes in and he will be vital against swans in tight SCG

Who comes out .....I've got n idea

thats what i thought as well but giles seems to be a bit lazy. Mcinnis last year was perfect foil for and he laid some nice blocks for jk last season. lycett was doing that really well last night and if mcinnis does that, our forward will have good day against their defenders. Also mcinnis being 197cms and around 95-100kgs could be a threat as there not many defenders of that size in defence for swans.

Giles wasn't as good as those stats might suggest. He's too one dimensional, lacks speed/mobility and his hitouts aren't really to advantage.

McInnes provides a better option as a backup ruck from what I've seen in the 4 EP games I've been to

Corey Adamson could do a good job as the second ruck in the way that the Dockers/Tigers had to use their athletic players as for the past few weeks. One of the best vertical leaps in the comp and could even displace Lycett if he performs well.

Yeah we have at least a few options

The guy we need to shut down isn't Tippett it's Isaac Heaney ......does Elliot yeo go to him

nah i think shep should. she good in the air and is of a similar height.

I would have schoey take buddy at first because he actually has the pace to go with buddy when the ball is kicked over the top. Emac hang a few meters behind the contest and gov take tippet/sinclair (or nankervis if sincs doesn't play).

In: Wellingham, Fraser Out: Nelson, Lycett

Nelson hasn't shown a thing at AFL level yet, just doesn't seem to be an AFL footballer to me - no key attributes and no composure whatsoever. Still young though.

Yeo goes to one of Hannerbery, Parker, Jack or Kennedy...

Surely you jest.
Adamson is 185cm.

Last time eMac played on buddy he destroyed him. Would be scary what buddy could do to schoey in his current form.

I said at first. watching buddy tonight he burned a slow talia when sydney rebounded and buddy got a few of his goals that way. it will be buddy v hooker all over again with emac on him. It might be better to have schoey mark him when the ball is locked in out 50 and emac act as an anchor. Then emac can mark buddy when the ball is being played in their half.

Oddly call me nuts but I think Shepard could stand Franklin as well as anyone

Franklin clunked a couple of overhead marks last night but generally he's getting his goals from slingshot by Sydney

We just have to make sure we don't get too sucked up the ground and get done

eMac can play buddy well when buddy leads out as eMac is a lot quicker than he looks but his turning circle isn't great ...

It will come down to supply though, if Parker, Mitchell, Kennedy (swans) Hanaberry and Jack dominate then it doesn't matter who is playing in buddy the supply will dictate

The midfield battle will decide this game

What are others thoughts on Cripps at the minute? He has had 40 touches in 4 games and kicked 5 goals.
I would like to see Lecras go back to being a permanent small forward.
I know Cripps offers up some defensive pressure but is that enough to warrant selection? Hill and Lecras as our floating small forwards is enough I reckon.
Thoughts?

Who replaces him, like for like?

If Wellingham comes in he goes down back, Lecras plays permanent small forward and Hutchings fills Lecras current role as 5th midfielder high half forward.
I am not bagging Cripps I just think Lecras is better as a permanent small forward.

Size wise and knowing how Sinkers has typically gone against the bigger stronger rucks i lean towards Giles but you guys getting along to the EP games are pumping up McInnes so there is probably something in that.

To our advantage is the WC coaches will have a pretty good idea how Frase stacks up to Cal in the ruck.

Whoever comes in just needs to crack in either way.
