More pace in that squad already.

Absolutely ******* nailed it this week.

Finally

Cameron unlucky not to be in as well…. and of course Lyons who is destined to be another 26 year old on our list with less than 50 games to his name.

If a player is 24 or older and has not played more than 50 games their are generally just depth players or injury prone.

Lyons is a victim of been a inside midfielder our strongest area on the list.

I like those selections, I wouldve had Lyons above Pets though personally

Will be interesting to see how Pets goes with Eddie. They are probably after and injection of pace and pressure which was sorely lacking last week. I am not the biggest Pets fan but will watch with interest his role with Betts. It is probably more about team balance and pressure than anything else.

I said it earlier in the week, I think we will go small this week

OUT:
Mckernan- might be due to injury, may not. But he won't play. Jenkins to come in. This is definitely not the last we will see of Smack, he had a good pre season, and I still think he can make it, he may have been injured last week which explains why we didn't see much of him

Shaw- gets opened up by defenders, and so does Reilly. Shaws decision making pretty bad aswell

Crouch- injury. One crouch for another this week. Almost like when Mark Waugh replaces Steve Waugh

Porpoise- collingwood game last year has been his only good game in a long time

LJ- effort last week was bad. Some posters on here believe he is footy smart to go along with his kicking...disagree completely. Not smart enough to get to the right spots, not smart enough to use the ball well up the field, and not smart enough to realise he has to work harder. Would be playing if we didn't have pods, but irrelevant, as they are both gone when tex returns. And is this guy even a good kick?

INS:
Matt crouch
Laird
Petrenko
Jenkins
Lyons or Hartigan (depends if they think Reilly can take a third forward)

Reallt hope these are the changes, especially Matt crouch. And let's hope he doesn't get the green vest

 :thumbsu:

Good changes. I would've given Porpy another shot tho.

I hope Shaw never returns to the side. I think he is a massive spud who cannot kick to save his life.

Sando got the changes correct this week.

And Saturday's lotto numbers please?

Awesome to see Matt Crouch, about bloody time! I can see why Pets has come in with LJ getting dropped, Sando obviously wants a smaller forwardline. His SANFL trial game form has been good from all reports, so lets hope now that's he's been injury free this pre-season that he can come out with his 2012 form.

Lyons coming in would have upset the structure too much I feel, it was always gonna be him or Crouch replacing Brad.

Why aren't there more people in here celebrating? Aren't these exactly the changes everyone wanted? Porps, LJ, Mckernan and Shaw all gone...

Oh, and happy with JJ back. I'm not too fussed with his SANFL form, I think he's a player who steps up at the higher level he plays.

It seemed like Petrenko was on the outer in the preseason. He played a very underwhelming game against Carlton and then got relegated to the SANFL trial team the next week. Admittedly I haven't watched the SANFL trials but I haven't heard of Petrenko firing a shot. Not getting named in the best players, not impacting the scoreboard.

But I dunno, players seem to arbitrarily float in and out of our plans so I guess it makes sense that he got recalled.

Lyons is a victim of been a inside midfielder our strongest area on the list.
I wonder how many midfield pantsings it will take before people stop spouting this crap.

At least he is likely to be on our list next year unlike the three KPF's we've used so far.

Don't mind these changes, looks like we're tidying up the defensive efforts aspects for this game. Hopefully we can severely put much more pressure on the Sydney defenders in this game as one of the most frustrating part from last week was watching how easily the ball traveled from Port's defense to their forward line.

Can't wait to see Junior in action this weekend!!
