These changes look about right.

As much as we all hope, j-Pod won't get dropped.

He won't get dropped unless he's injured. He will play at least the next 6 or 7 games.

Smack or lewis Johnston one will get dropped for JJ.

Mate IMO we may need to do a forward structure readjustment

There has been little to no forward pressure and sides have been able to run the ball out with ease and IMO this is largely to playing 3 talks up front.

With this in mind it's time to consider going back to two talks and having another small forward in either Pets or Charlie to provide some real forward pressure

Would love to see Betts and Carlie who live together develop some real chemistry and develop into a real damaging small forward combo

Adding Charlie or Pets is a no brainer as they add speed, forward line pressure and keeping the ball in the area.

But who gets dropped?

I think it (not that I agree) it comes down to Lewis Johnston. He will get dropped this week.

Smack adds that second ruck option and J-Pod is a political selection to keep his recruitment credibility in tact. Dropping in now, won't be a great look.

FF: betts - pods - pets
HF: Kerridge - smack - Grigg

2 talls and 4 smalls

I said before the game we had to worry about Monfries, Wingard and Gray, they had to worry about Betts. It has to be charlie, Pets has been tried and failed.

Martin, Porps, jeansch, all were giving a go first and this point to the fact Pets will get the nod before Charlie.

Rather Grigg on the wing to deliver the ball in the forward 50

I would also like to see Scott Thompson used more forward and use his last year or two in more of a Paul Chapman role

Matty Wright to also be played as a high HF using work rate to expose his opponent

My forward structure

F. Cameron. JPod. S. Thompson
HF. Wright. JJ. Betts.

No offence because I respect your posts, but frankly how is it that this is so obvious to the likes of BF posters but lost on the coaching staff?

I suppose that is a question for Sando and Bickley to answer

It has always been a concern for me that Bickley is in charge of our forward structure

This, however unfortunately JPod won't be dropped and Charlie won't be promoted

People have to understand Pods is being asked to play a completely different role to the one he played at Geelong - a role he is not up to.

That's the problem with our forward line at the moment. Pods, LJ and McKernan (and Jenkins for that matter) are ALL professional support acts. None of them are the headline act, and none of them ever will be.

You can't throw three support acts together and hope for a combined headline act - that's not how it works.

Pods and LJ were ****ing awful yesterday, but Gunston would have been awful in that forward line yesterday too.

The headline act is Walker. And his guitarist is Lynch.

Pod, LJ and McKernan/Jenkins in a forward line with Walker and Lynch is a totally different story.

Replacing McKernan with Jenkins is like shifting around the deckchairs on the Titanic. I'm not saying Jenkins shouldn't be in the side, I'm just saying small-minded, short-sighted selections like these don't address the problem and only halt development of players.

I want Jenkins in the side too but he hasn't actually shown anything this year, in fact seems to have gone backwards, not even doing anything in the reserves.

Pods and Mckernan have done nothing but atleast McKernan can ruck, and maybe pods can't do much more with the delivery he's been getting?

Whatever role JPod has been asked to play its hard not to argue that he needs to do more and that we need more from the Jood

So JJ is a 0.

Pods and Mckernan are a -50. So Jenkins gets a game

He's dropping easy marks. But I think that has a lot to do with the role he's playing. He's out of his depth. That can have all sorts of deleterious effects on the rest of your game.

You don't just start dropping easy marks, especially when that's your strength.

All Jenkins has to do is lay one tackle and he's ahead of the current lot

Comes back to Sando

Needs to make sure he has the right player playing the right role that is within that players capabilities

He is 32 and should be at the end of his career. That was the plan until we became desperate.
