Wow. Harsh on Thommo. He got us in front in the 3rd.
Yes he did:thumbsu:, but what happened then? Where was he in the first and second. Senior players need to stand up and lead, but they were turning it over as much as everyone else.

I have no confidence in Sando swinging the axe but it needs to be done. So much deadwood to clear out from this team.

Out: Pods (old, slow, done), Porps (finished, you were a good servant but your time here is done), Shaw (not AFL standard), McKernan (ditto), Jaensch

In: Laird (need some mongrel back there), M. Crouch, Jenkins (couldn't be worse than Pods surely?), Lyons (why was he dropped in the first place?!, CEY/Cameron

How far away are Lynch and Otten?
If only this were likely to happen. We can dream I guess and play the game with those changes in our head.

Is Sando going to let himself sink with the same players who keep letting him down?

He's got the security of a lengthy contract.

Please let's see something different at selection. Matt Crouch, Charlie Cameron at the least.
Those types of selections would be so un-Sando though, it just ain't gonna happen unfortunately.

Out: McKernan, Porps
In: One of Petrenko/Charlie, Jenkins.

Probably give Laird one more week in the 2nds then bring him in if Shaw is still spudding it up. Probably still need Reilly. His intercepts were superb today and that one 'in the back' he gave away resulting in a goal was a bit unlucky.

If Shaw goes out Hartigan comes in. Laird does regardless for Jaensch who wasnt awful but we need defenders who defend.

People being harsh on Radar, there was many many worse.

I think he did some good things. Would have been better for him to get some more SANFL games into him, but desperation calls.

Looking at the presser I dont think Pods will be dropped. 'Pods played a role' Sando says. ..........

Definite Outs: Porplyzia, McKernan, Podsiadly, (Crouch if injured)

On the edge: Johnston, Shaw & Rutten - who has gotten to the Nigel Smart 2004 stage, love what he's done for the club in the past but he needs to make the call and pull the pin because he's currently using up all the credits he has in the bank, sad to say but he's just cooked.

And from watching the trial last night;

In: Jenkins, Petrenko, Lyons, Ellis-Yolman

I reckon they'll give M.Crouch & Charlie Cameron a few more weeks in the SANFL before they get a look in, love Charlie though.

I can't believe I'm saying this and mods don't ban me but I reckon someone who could get a go is Angus Graham, Whoa! don't check your eyes, yes that Angus Graham. I acknowledge that I've called him garbage for years, but as I watch Sydney now they are really struggling in that second ruck spot without Mumford or Tippett there, they're playing Tom Derickx there tonight :o and GWS stretched them with Mumford & Giles, so we could try to do the same.

To be fair to Angus he's looked ok in the earlier trial games and I watched him closely last night and as much as it hurts to say, he wasn't bad, moved around the ground well took some nice grabs and looks a lot fitter this year. He went the two sweat band look as well last night obviously thinking he was travelling to Darwin not Noarlunga, would be interested to see if he takes that look into the AFL.

Crazy suggestion I know but we really have to try and change up our setup at the moment and it could help out the team quite a lot; Jacobs would get more support so won't be totally stuffed by 3qtr time, Jenkins could stay permanently forward as he is hopeless in the ruck, McKernan would be discarded and maybe just maybe we could get a ruckman to contest a stoppage in our forward 50 and not just allow opposition players to grab it and kick a goal down the other end which has happened to us the last two weeks which in it's self is ridiculously slack.

I think things are starting to look dire when I'm coming up with this suggestion.

I agree. If you missed my point - he's there for rebound. I feel we need more from Brown. I thought he was quick? Or as I was saying - Laird in, but Brown out before Jaensch (if Sando continues with him in defence) I personally would like Jaensch on a wing.

It seems Jaensch is playing with some passion at least. Maybe it might catch on. I believe that was our edge in 2012.
More inertia at contests, makes the opposition guy get injured and scared.

Is this for what we would do, or what we think Sando will do?

Yeah he played the role of our forward vs multiple defenders as we play our forwards out numbered, so we need some poor sucker in the forward half to try to beat 2 or 3 every time....

Also play danger forward more provided he doesn't kick sideways to no one from 35 metres out.[/quote]

What about Danger down back like Bungy for a bit. Just to get a bit of mojo back, he's gone missing. Maybe needs to be knocked down a peg.

You would have thought he'd learnt from Craigy. Loyalty to sub par players gets you sacked

I thought Hartigan was banned for 2 weeks or something?

Sydney are gonna be fired up too after starting 0-2 as well. Shit.

Atleast it's on our own home turf. If Tippett plays can you imagine how loud the "Tippetts a w***er" chant would be?

If Hartigan is banned then Shaw survives purely on the fact LT wouldn't be any better. Watching Sydney tonight gives me false hope that we can win.
