Sydney's big $ signings are going well aren't they?

One cant get on the park and the other is ruining their culture. Great investments. Bargains.:thumbsu: Hope it continues.

The decision to recruit Buddy has to be among one of the poorest in AFL history. It the kind of decision I am surprised our Club has not entertained.

I do believe something is not 100% right about the deal though, a 9 year contract? Something is fishy as anyone would tell you once you pass 30 your career generally turns pear shaped. Fletcher and Harvey the outliers to what is generally the norm of players careers finished once you hit the third decade of your life.

I'm still fairly confident the swans will be playing preliminary final weekend and then anything can happen.

I'm fairly optimistic this week against Sydney. It's round 2! it's not the end of the season. I know we have been under performing but hey we can turn things around this week.

From last year the Power and the Cats are top 6 teams. We led the Cats in Geelong in the third qtr and led the Power about midway through the 3rd quarter.

While it is dark for us at the moment, there is still hope for us.

Sydney ran out of legs in the second half , hopefully that happens for us this week

Did you watch the game? Could you explain your comment a bit further? I didnt see or read much about the game.

I know from last year we were rated 3rd in terms of over running teams in the last quarter, Port were rated 2nd.

The first half Sydney were dominating Collingwood and had the legs. Then suddenly in the second half Sydney were very slow and made constant mistakes. Collingwood had Maxwell spare in defence and he opened up the game. Kieran Jack wasn't right he had a problem with his ribs.

I still have nightmares after the absolute mauling the Swans gave us last year, probably the most deflating experience I've had as a life-time Crows supporter, we weren't just bad, we were embarrassingly bad that day!!! Please no repeat of that!!!

If that game doesn't motivate our coaches and players this week, nothing ever will. Second most embarrassing moment in our recent history. (Second to Saturday's game)

Unfortunately for us we don't exactly run out games well.

In our last quarters this year we have been outscored 27 points to 84 points.

Whats just as concerning is we aren't mentally switched on at the start either. Both Geelong and Port kicked the first 3 goals in a row to open the matches.

Our Clubs promises to deliver more embarrassments for that I am sure of.

The Club is not hurting, they simply move on to the next game. There is no hunger or desire to win and work hard.

Sando flogged our players over summer, bragging like an idiot of the number of Kms he has put into the players, it has been all for nothing.

Yes its just two games, but I am seeing a lazy team with no desire to work hard and lacking confidence.

Yep, and sometimes it's also not just about the km's..
Sounds like Craig days..
I wonder how much sprint work they did..

What I saw on Saturday was just plain embarrassing. I wonder if 2012 was an aberration and the reality is being in the bottom half of the ladder is where this Club is at. I am still hurting and feel the pain of our Club coming 2nd in a two team town. Port have flogged us at every post since their appointments in the summer of 2012.

They have formed a strong and solid foundation and rebuilt their Club from almost ruin. From the administration like Kochie to the coach - Hinkley to the players recruited and their marketing campaign. They have blitzed us and yet our Club sits back and has not responded in fighting hard to regain ground we have lost.

Our first home game is laughable and a joke, Port beat us in staging the first ever home game at AO, it gained all the excitement that goes with opening a new stadium, Adelaide was alive all of last week about the first game and the media too. There is nothing to get excited about this week. Whatever we do is going to look trying too hard and will come off second best to what Port achieved over the weekend. Yes I am looking forward to this weeks game, but lets face it please, its just any home and away game, nothing at all to care about. Port won all the glitz and glamour over the weekend, the only way we could have robbed them of "their" moment was winning and we just gave it up, when the game was in the balance.
