The sanfl update on the Crows site has mentioned Lyons and Wright might play on Monday if they don't come in for us. So it's obviously got nothing to do with being rested.

SANFL is a rest compared to AFL.

I also reckon there is a degree of foxing particularly with Mackay. With Mackay's form being variable and now an injury concern I can't see him being played unless he is 100%.

Yep as long as we have a shot at making the 8 we have to keep that mix of experience and youth. I have no doubt Lyons will be back in the coming weeks through a youth rotation.

I also think it is stupid to throw away a top 8 spot (and play all kids) for the simple fact that if we even play 1 final with the current crop of less than 50 gamers, finals experience is gold for youngsters' development. Getting 8 or 9 young players 1 games finals experience is way better than playing 12 or more inexperinced players and having Melbourne or GWS like losses. It doesn't promote a winning culture & the kids get very little out of being thrashed.

Stiffy was given the hint last year. This year he was given 2 chances and that's it. They were patient with him in 2012. Patience has now worn thin.

If any player wants to quit the club on the strength of being dropped for the first time, they can pack their bags and piss off. Seriously it would be one of the more piss week acts we have seen, and thats saying something.
