Prediction Changes vs Sydney

Lol. What’s the point of giving a kid couple games and then dropping him straight after his breakout game.

I love DV but I prefer Waterman playing that HFF/wing role.

Even got the Embley stoop.

Just an extra inch or so taller with generational creep.

Going to be a gun and our first successful father son :bewb

what happens with hickey is really interesting

only one of vardy/hickey can play

if it was best 22 for the sydney game - i say pick hickey

but given Nic is due in about 4 weeks - vardy is a more complementary player - so do we keep vards in to continue building form

Also I think people are going to be disappointed when nelson is picked over rotham

Rotham would be my preference to come in, give him more games to build for future.

Nelson likely to be picked but seems less likely to have a future with the club.

I hate to go back to my defeatist attitude but its hard to see us beating Sydney without Hurn or Barrass. At least this time around we have Darling.

Here are the players Sydney won't have from last time we played them:

Heath Grundy
Josh P Kennedy
Harry Cunningham
Nick Smith
Zak Jones
Harry Marsh
Keiren Jack
Dan Hannebery
Gary Rohan

I'd say we're a good chance here. McGovern was our only tall defender last time we played.

I have seen a lot of Embley comparisons but i just don't see it my self. Embley moved and played like a genuine wingmen/mid.

I just see modern 3rd tall in Jake. Can play deep or push down the ground. TomLynch crows or a Jack Gunston is what i see of Jake.

Jake at WAFL level plays like a normal KPF and dominates defenders. Once JK moves on, i see him spending more time inside 50. Him and Allen rotating between CHF and HFF.

So are we playing silly buggers with the media, then?
I thought with Hurn they pulled him off last week in the last quarter due to hamstring tightness only - not that he had done his hamstring. Of course never having played the game does hamstring tightness mean its a 'hammy' just waiting to happen??

Seeing that the SCG is a smaller ground with much less space to run into, I think we should leave Masten to fill in space in the WAFL. He can continue to work on his role there. He could maybe even get some advertising work for Selleys spac filler, to help fill the gap in his pay check.

Now Avishka I need to call you out on this one. Jake has played the high half forward role this year back in the WAFL. He has had Williams, McInnes, a resting Vardy/Brooksby and at times Brander playing KPF. I recall hearing Fat X talking about his massive improvement in endurance enabling him to get up and down the ground with more of his goals coming from kicks over the top due to his gut running. He even gave credit to Cripps for showing him how to play the role.
