If Salem comes straight back in and Petty is fit:

Out: Melkshambles, Weideman, May, Rivers, Dunstan (Bedford desperately unlucky, but goes back to sub for now)
In: Langdon, Tomlinson, McDonald, Harmes, Salem

FB: Bowey Tomlinson Lever
HB: Brayshaw Petty Salem
C: Jordon Viney Langdon
HF: Sparrow McDonald Neal-Bullen
FF: Fritsch Brown Pickett
RR: Gawn Oliver Petracca
IC: Hunt Jackson Harmes Spargo
Sub: Bedford

Awfully close to our best 22, with the obvious omission of May.

Rivers dropped is a decent statement. Has been below his best this year.
We’re an excellent side and it’s one of him, Bowey or Hunt that has to go. He’d still play for most teams even in this form

Bedford back to sub is the right call.

I reckon a few clubs will be onto his agent with some juicy offers. Not many quality small forwards with his pace and endurance not getting a full game on the park in the league.

Essendon is one team that basically has zero specialist small forwards available at the moment. Tried to get Rosas and Bobby Hill last year too.

Have lost anthony mcdonald tipungwuti as well now.

Bloody strong looking side apart from the obvious May out. Really hope Tmac can have a big game.

Why would Bedford be looking elsewhere right as he is on the cusp?!?

Great changes. Very happy. Can't wait to see Saleeeeem

Ben Brown is very lucky. I don't care if we're blowtorching the ball inside 50m, 2 touches in 2 hours of footy is a disgrace. must lift. He applies 0 forward pressure so at the very least he needs to be a threat offensively. It's very close to being Mitch Brown time.

It will never be Mitch Brown time unless every other tall forward falls into a bottomless pit or starts clucking like a chicken.

When did we build Mitch Brown up from being more than an honest trier to a genuine selection option?

BBB has enough credits in the bank to retire on. Mitch Brown isn't even in the frame and probably never will be.

All of our KPFs have been playing like honest triers for most of the last couple of years, with the odd hot patch. If BBB keeps doing s**t all I'm not against dropping him for MBrown (or at a stretch JVR). The coaches are happy to drop underperformers

Also I'm pretty sure M Brown is an emergency which is usually a sign he's "next solider up"

We don't really play funny-buggers with selections and have been really predictable the last couple of years

Will not happen

Glad Rivers out. Hasn’t looked as explosive this year after his injury. He’ll bounce back. He just may need to find some touch in the Magoos.

I'll be happy if he misses this week all together. Just a week off, to settle any issues in his body, before we play Collingwood.

Ben Brown is 2 disposals better than a chicken at the moment lol.

BBB does not have that credits in the bank to justify a horrendous 3 weeks in a premiership push. I'm not saying Mitch Brown will get a go, but it's almost irrefutable at this stage that he would've been much better the last 3 weeks and ongoing. Same as Daw. Or basically anyone at this stage.

Fritsch is our number 1 forward, then TMac, then Jackson, then Ben Brown. if he kicks a bag of goals then I'll forgive him. 0, 1 or 2 won't cut it.

I love Ben Brown because he is a great kick for goal. But he needs to be better and get the ball in his hands more often. More often than 2.

Irrefutable? I think the assertion Daw would be better than Ben Brown is very easily refuted.

Daw is not a good footballer and never has been. Brown is and always has been.

If Oliver or Trac have a down patch you don't drop them for some mature age VFL plodder. You back in a quality player to work through it and get better.
