If our defence was average, the sky would be the limit for the team. Maybe it’s not Nerd Barrett’s sliding doors levels of bad, but it’s bad enough to make me think we will struggle to win unless we play the eagles.

Yeah even if we had Lachie Hansen, Thompson & Firrito right now we could be playing finals.

Edit- They were great defenders for us, but had their limitations at times.

You know its funny but I don't see it that way, I look at it like we had no Jy no Mcdonald, now before lukey gets toasted by people, remember he's really only had one bad year, it just happened to be last year and at his best he's a experienced defender who I think can get back to his best this year.

The previous four years this mob {Giants} would have given us a 60 or 70 thrashing, but you know what, last week they beat us by "39 points", 39 points is all this red hot team, did I forget to mention the early flag favourites and they at no stage were able to coast, could beat us by, oh and with their forward line and there backline and with our forward and backline at no stage could they bury us, especially with our inexperienced backline, let that sink in for a minute. This year they are going to bury more than a few teams and baring injuries look on target for a top 4 spot on the ladder.

We are going to get better after every game, its about learning, fitness, execution, confidence and the game plan and the more we do it the more better at it we will become. In my opinion as I've said before the only way to improve is to play the best, while Collingwood are the champions there is no doubt that GWS has the eye of the tiger and are one, if not the team to beat this year. They couldn't coast because we kept coming at them, Adam Kingsley knows this and pretty much said so in the presser and while his praise for us may go unnoticed by some it didn't by me, he knows, even with his red hot team, he was impressed.

With what we have at the moment, its sometimes all to easy to find the negatives, but if you look and study the games closely the positives are plenty, you just have to open your eyes. Shocking luck for Josh but as the saying goes, with bad luck comes good luck for someone else to cement a spot in our team if they are good enough, its called opportunity. This week we can certainly take the Dockers out, they played very well in front of their home crowd on a very warm day and Serong had his monster game 45 or more touches and with their injuries plus the way we played against the best team on their home deck, I can see us putting in a very big performance on Saturday lunchtime.

A mistake, if you look closely it also says we play Freo, scroll further down and look at North Melbourne and it says we play Freo. We play Carlton on good Friday which I believe is the 29 March.

We ****ed up equally. We had entries that should have resulted in scores that didnt. Dont give me that rubbish.

Yes, they were far superior rebounding and we were pathetic from half forward to half back in mitigating that run with defensive pressure.
