Feel like Salem and in particular Frost are being punished for taking the game on. Both are pretty key to us winning games. Don't see the benefit in dropping Watts when there's nobody better to bring in.

Agree they're important when they're on and Salem is probably a touch stiff (Must be not meeting some KPIs) but I think Frost and Watts are more obvious in why they've gotten the boot. If Weid doesn't play I don't mind dropping Watts as Hannan will do way more defensively and contests better in the air (A good game from Watts is above anything Hannan has shown but no guarantee we get one).

If Weid does play he needs to tackle like he did against the Crows, scoreboard doesn't matter as much as him providing a contest and competing all day (We know he will in the air but needs to have second and third efforts at ground level).

If we lose this week we will blame it on team selection even though most were wanting these changes. It'll be a lack of class and run.

With Watts out and Hannan in I think we win. Defensive pressure will immediately be way better and in 2017 that's the name of the game. Plus Hunt, Harmes and Jonescannot possibly play that badly two games in a row.
Plus Riewoldtbis out thank ****. Dees to win by 36.

Jack Watts? Jeez he's been playing shit. Last time he played shit we went full Wallsey on him ie: we "put him in the ruck!". We should do that again. That means we could have Gawnie play as a permanent forward, which sounds great to me; Tom McDonald in the forward line worked. Milkman's been delivering match-winning goals since he went forward. Hunt, Hannan, Trac, all played forward at some point this year.

Clearly there's some kind of full-forward rotational policy going on right now and seeing as we're getting out-marked in the forward line around 100 times a game...

Anyway, I hope Watts kills it in the VFL. What a champ.

I've been shouting at the TV to get Watts on the ball since the 3rd Qrt of the Port game. Get his hands on the pill and build some confidence, yet he's stayed where he is ... wouldn't be surprised if he's still not quite right.

Would love a big game from him in the VFL and to come straight back in.

If this is how the coaching group reacts to our first comprehensive loss of the season, then I worry about how ready they really are.

I'm not exactly buying it but everyday that rumour is closer to being true I guess.

I can't say I normally disagree with schmuttt and ThePuppetMaster so maybe I'll have to accept I was too inebriated and distracted to notice frosts decline. Still think he's a vital part of our zone even out of form

Genuinely feel Frost has been pretty poor this past month.

You can't say he's done enough or had enough credits in the bank compared to Salem and Watts.

Still like him going forward.

Is Harmes that good Tempy!?

They do generally train separately from the senior group though.
At MFC training they do seperate (not for the entire session)
They never go to Casey training, only times they have was any who were available for finals for Casey last year in the finals

I'm expecting it tbh. I think one team will flog the other, doubt it'll be close unless both teams play like shit.
Yeah I'm leaning towards St Kilda. Wouldn't surprise me if they jump out of the blocks, I reckon they will win quite easily. Think Membrey may also give us trouble and kick 5 goals like he did twice against us last year. I'll be impressed if we get the win on Sunday.
