Last time they played Hickey, Bruce and Riewaldt and it paid off in the end. Can't see why you wouldn't play Moz, before injured he was almost the best defender in the competition.

Hrovat wasn't bad harsh to drop him but just think Daniel could be so much better in that high fwd mid role. Dale for Crameri seems right. Not sure about the back line probably let sleeping dogs lie. Morris could use another run in the twos. Talia seems a logical match up for Nick but wasn't great yesterday. Probably leave things back though. Leave the rucks.

Dale has struggled so far at afl level so far which makes him the obvious replacement for Crameri if fit.

Hrovat's still not doing enough he's not winning much of the ball or kicking goals and he's far too often getting caught with the ball by not releasing it quick enough. Morris should replace him only if he's completely ready to go, or Talia one of which will be handy this week.

No matter who we pick, Riewoldt will still take 10 or so grabs up the ground. It's how we match up on the others to consider, but still not leaving us undersized when he's around goal

I'm so confused about Dale. Am I watching a different player? I saw a young, light kid come on as sub and play as a natural forward, leading out brilliantly twice to take marks, offering some pace up forward, positioning himself well and pressuring. Disposal count isn't everything.

Apparently he's struggled at this level, yet he's played five games in a row in his first year with four goals.

Dale has been great in what limited game time he's had. Hasn't had much of the ball around the ground but getting on the end of marks inside 50 is something we haven't historically been great at. He stays unless his body is starting to cook.

Bev will again keep changes to a minimum. Minson was ordinary last night but Bev indicated in his presser that he was not subbed due to form - (perhaps being a bit guarded there).
Daniel is very close but he's got plenty of time to keep improving. Talia is going OK at Footscray but can't push either Hamling or Roberts out on that form.
So, it's: In: Crameri Out: Dale (or could be Hrovat who is just going)

It's interesting but good. Are we at a point where playing ok isn't enough to keep better players like Crameri out?

Tough week for selectors. Hrovat was the one I was most disappointed in. He's just not looking up to it at the minute. He's off the pace. He holds the play up when he shouldn't and he takes to long to give quick hands off at times.
Forward line looked better without Crameri but I'm sure he'll come back.
Be interesting to see what happens.

I watched the VFL yesterday and Mark Austin comes in before
Dale Morris does and that is not a negative comment despite
players past experience this new (Team Defence concept)
used by Bevo is working to great effect and is only found out
on the turnover. Brisbane were very easy to play against,
i expect St Kilda to bring more strength and pressure to the
contest.

Therefore Ins- Big guys-Jong, Crameri etc.
Outs- Little guys horses for courses as they say.

Note for some- Dale Morris is a great player, but time to play
on the smalls and develop the talls is now.

I think so, whilst Dale would be stiff to go out, I wonder about a game where both McLean and Dale were to start. Crameri would be likely to do more than Dale which is maybe why he'd get a spell. I did think he played well from the limited time, he could have easily scored 2 goals. If he had of done that, I doubt we'd drop him. Damn. The more I think about it the more I think it might be good to keep him in the side and drop someone else. But yes, I feel like we are getting to that point. It's exciting.

So thrilled with macrae's move into the middle as well. He's born to play in there.

Bonti, Wallis, Libba and macrae is a super, young inside core.

A little more polish through the middle and the midfield is almost set.
That 4 plus Boyd and Stringer is IMO the most talented young core in the comp. It's better than the top 6 kids of GC and GWS.

The problem is, GWS have top picks lining their fringes.

I'll call it early and add McLean to that group. He's got that game changing ability and already showed it in the third quarter last night in only his second game. He's got all the skills. If we are really that set on getting revenge on St. Kilda maybe you'd look at bringing in Morris for Webb this week to add a little experience to the back 6? I don't feel like Webb deserves to be dropped at all but could happen, would help with management of Webb and we'd have that extra versatility of rolling morris on to their third tall and just playing wood in front of Riewoldt all day.

I don't think many people are saying Dale has played bad. There are a few of course, saying he should be dropped.

I think it's more a matter of if Crameri is fit then he's a walk up start. In that case someone has to go out. Playing a few games and with little opportunity it makes sense for a young bloke to go back and play a full game in the 2s.

If Crameri is fit it will probably be Dale or Hrovat to make way.
