Drop Kerridge will be acceptable if its to bring Lyons back or to blood Grigg. But we certainly need to send a strong message by dropping a big named player.
I think a big name player will get dropped this week, just a gut feel from the comments by Sando and VB since the game. I've never seen them both so strong on selection matters.

Listening to Bickley today Kerridge will get a rest. You can read between the lines they are blaming the youth for being beaten up by Sydney.
I guess it's how you interpret comments then. I've been getting the hint that one or two big names could be in the gun, along with guys like Kerridge.

Great game between Saints Eagles ATM.

Are we the worst team in the AFL for playing fast, open, attacking rebounding footy??
And we played a great game against North 2 weeks ago. That was fast, open, attacking and rebounding footy. What's your point exactly? It ebbs and flows every week. WC and the Saints have been bog ordinary lately before last night.

I'm not so sure because if we lose this week, our chances of playing finals football will be all but gone.

Thats why I feel they will go one more week with the strongest side possible and then, if we lose and the same senior players under perform, wholesale changes vs the Gold Coast after the bye will occur.

Fair enough, good point. Interesting week ahead!

We didn't play a great game against North - we got out of jail against a crap team with severe mental issues, due to some individual brilliance from a few players.

Even if I agree on the North game, what about the other 9 games??

Do you rate our ability to attack with speed and creativity from defence?

And I'm not being smart, you get the impression a big name player will be dropped; who are you thinking?

Wouldn't drop Kerridge either, stop treating our young guns like babies, they should play until they lose form. Stop giving them excuses to be soft.

Jacobs will get up, but don't mind any of the other changes. Sando and VB have both strongly hinted there will be mass changes this week, so lets hope they follow through.

Wow I can't believe that! Has VB Seriously come out and said there will be mass changes?
•he was one of the worst, he should look at his own form
•to come out and say that after the playing group would be thinking the captain is one of the worst players wouldn't sit well with the playing group
• it's like he's blaming others? When he was horrible
• I actually can't believe if he's done this, how can he call for other players to be dropped when he is one of the main problems
• enjoy your last year as captain VB

In his presser, Sando talked about:
"Unacceptable performance right across the board and it won't happen again."
"Our season's not over. We'll keep picking the players that want to stand up."
"We learnt a bit today about a couple of guys, we know the guys that want to fight, we'll keep putting in players that deserve their opportunity."
"If they're not giving us what we need consistently, we'll need to leave them out."

OK Sando - time to show the fans who you think are the players who want to stand up, and who is not giving us what we need, to make sure it doesn't happen again.

For mine:
OUT
Porps - Sando has given him plenty of time to hit form, but it is just not happening
Pets - injury, but still not a damaging forward
Vince - one of our most composed under pressure, and a great user - but he is simply not getting to enough contests as the game wears on
Sauce - getting more taps now, but not aas many to advantage as last year - currently a liability around the ground (love the guy, but he is not doing it now)

IN
Lyons - should not have gone out this week
Wright
Riley - try him in Pets spot
Graham - can't believe I am asking this, but some-one needs to give Sauce a break and I don't like a Smack/Jenkin ruck combo

Keep Kerridge - if he needs a rest, let him have it in the bye.
Keep Crouch - pretty awful on Saturday, but who wasn't? Give him some games to prove himself.

Hope Shaw is ready soon - come in for Reilly or Otto.

It's all good for VB to say there will be changes, is he talking about himself because his form is equally as shit. He should have taken some ownership and mentioned he was down on form and had to lift.

Call me cynical, it's the talk we want to hear, but I'm sceptical about it actually happening.

VB is as guilty as anyone of damaging the culture.

Pets, Otto, Kedge, Radar for starters, probably Porps and the Cap as well. Sauce needs a two week rest give it to him. So that's 7 players out of the side. Not likely

Would not drop Crouch, JJ, Vince or Callinan. First two are still learning the craft and how to not give in when you are being belted the second two because their skills alone can turn a play or the game itself.

Lyons, Grigg, Johncock, Jaensch are my 4 ins for the first 4.

Wright for Porps. Graham for Sauce back up man is needed now. Play him against his old side so he is at least pumped up to show his old club out.

Maybe give Martin in for VB for a whole game on the wing to change things up a bit.

What the hell? Read the article yourself, or watch the PC. Don't make assumptions and then go full throttle at the guy. He was asked questions, he responded to them.

He certainly wasn't blaming others either.

People hate it when players are robots, but then get up in arms when they respond honestly. It's pathetic.

Because we like blaming junior players. Dyson Heppell debuts younger than the rest of our guys, and misses 4 games in 3 years.

We drop or rest junior players because we're soft.

I like this;

"Jarryd Lyons, Matty Wright, David Mackay didn't play on the weekend and they're all in good touch for us too.

Lyons didn't play because we ****ing dropped him.

You are surely kidding? That's it, I'm out for the week from this board.

Before I go, in response to Kingy, I think Radar or Otten (or maybe both) may get dropped. Just a gut feel.
We haven't tried Reilly in ruck yet

I wouldn't call Otten a big name, but I'd drop him or move him into the middle, Reilly should be under the gun though.

Porps, VB, Reilly come to mind, but I wouldn't call Porps a big name anymore.

I can't understand why anyone would advocate dropping Kerridge.
Agree with this.
He has played 8 games this year - 2 weeks ago he was a star. Now people say he is tired?!
He had poor games against tough sides, but the exposure will do him good in the long run.

Tired? - comments from drafty camp "starred in the endurance testing at the AFL combine, finishing fourth in both the shuttle run (beep test) and 3km-time trial" - the kid is an athlete as well as a player. Don't wrap him up in soft nappies.

If you're referring to my post I was taking the piss.
