It's a combination of both . We are lacking talented players who are experienced . Guys that can put the team on their shoulders week in week out.
The only guys we have that can do that have played 100 games or less. Therefore the capacity to do that becomes inconsistent.
I think the problem is that our on field leaders don't have experience and our experienced players don't show good leadership. That along with the fact that these experienced players aren't playing well enough. I don't care if you've played 300 games if you're not doing your job and can't help out your team mates you're of no benefit to anyone.Does everyone agree the team is lacking experience and leadership?
Experience you can not deny.Does everyone agree the team is lacking experience and leadership?
its lacking talented players
too many solid players
Other than Tippett and Tex, which is obviously significant, it's virtually the same side that beat Sydney at the SCG last year.
Of the rest of those who played in that game last year, three are missing by choice of selection (Lyons,Wright Johncock), one is retired (Doughty), and one is injured (McKay). The rest is the same team.
So by these talented players missing, are you referring solely to Tippett and Tex?
If not, there is much more at play here than what you've cited.
Tex and Tippett are a huge loss in terms of pure talent and structure. Without them our forward line is one of the weakest in the AFL. Swapping them for Jenkins and Smack cannot be understated.
I don't disagree, I'm just saying the call that we need more talented players is just scratching the surface of the analysis of this season's performances.
There is a lot more to it.
In brighter news, Trigg is back in minus 18 days and counting.
I agree with you.
I was just referring to on field leadership, we dont have many leaders on the field but our performances this season have alot to do with off field issues.
Im sure there are. We know certain players havent been happy with his selection process and his stubbournessI would agree off field issues would have had some impact.
I know you are close to either people or a person at the club so I will ask you, do you know if there are people at the club that aren't happy with Sando?
Does everyone agree the team is lacking experience and leadership?
Lack of experience is our main issue - half the team under 50 games, we are going to get sporadic performances, particularly when we have many of our 50+ game players out of form.Does everyone agree the team is lacking experience and leadership?
Davis has leadership qualities, but the other 2 don't!Sydney Now >>>>>> Sydney this time last year
Tippet makes a huge diff whether we admit it or not.
I was referring to overall on field leadership.
Bock Davis Tippo are leaders on the field we havent replaced them
What makes you think they are leaders? Both are quiet types who prefer to stay out of the lime light.Disagree that tippo and bock arent leaders on the field
