On those changes, and recent SANFL reports, it seems like we're gonna give Jaensch a shot up forward, at least.
He's a horrible, horrible defender, but he's a slim chance of making it as a forward. Very unhappy to see Lyons miss out, but I'm interested to see how Jaensch goes. In the game and a half he played up forward for us this year, the half was great, while the full game blew. Small forwards will go quiet, though.
I don't want to get too excited, however, as I do feel like I'm setting myself up to turn on the TV and see Jaensch lining up on Dustin Martin in the back pocket.

Kerridge and Reilly wont play in the SANFL apparantly. Crouch stiff to be dropped after one game.

Brown to Reilly's spot. Wright for Petrenko. Jaensch for Keridge and McKay for Crouch I am assuming.

Stick to the topic, White Knight. You agree both Crouch and Kerridge should be omitted?
You quoted part of my post. The other part was clearly about how Lyons should be in the team ahead of Crouch AT THIS STAGE.
This didn't happen, so I'm equally disappointed.
Learn to read, for heaven's sake!

Its not as if the ins are old guys, overreaction me thinks.

Lyons or Crouch likely to be a late change for Thommo.

Would prefer both playing - ahead of Mackay, but gone for experience against Tigers.

How Porps keeps getting a game is a mystery to me - he can't play 4 quarters, yet we have named him on the field. Even Stiffy can play more minutes!

Look its probably not what I would have done but the stark reality is this, Crouch was a mess last week and looked very much under done and out of place last week. Does that do anything for his confidence? Very much 50:50 whether that can actually be called development.

Kerridge has had a couple of good games and some absolute shockers. If not for a purple patch in a half of very unusual football, there would have been plenty wanting him out.

Their careers haven't been ended.

Porps named on field. Unlikely sub?

Wright, Hendo, Jaensch and brown on the bench. Hendo sub?

Looks like the only real option, although i would love to see him start on the ground. His speed and agility late in the game is going to be important. Its good to finally see Porps get a full game. I have a feeling he will turn back time and play a blinder this weekend. He has good hands and can play in the wet, which is forcast for the weekend

Hope hendo is the sub. Porps should have been on his last chance a month ago. I dont think he's ever getting dropped. If Reilly comes back in next week I'll be angry.

Din't mind that Crouch is out as long as there is a good reason for it. Ie. he needs to work on some part of his game and then comes back in next week. It still feels like we've got a stream of tier two players who arn't ever givena chance to cement their spot.

I'm not interested in whether Crouch is ahead of Lyons or vice versa. Why does one of the two have to miss out? Your accusation of me lacking comprehension skills centres around a made up premise that only one of Lyons or Crouch can be selected.

This didn't happen, so I'm equally disappointed.

Another polywaffle fence sitting observation. I'll go through it slowly.

Should Crouch be dropped?

Should Kerridge be dropped?

Don't tell me who they're ahead of or who they're behind or how disappointed you are about somebody else. Just answer those two questions.

I am going to Melbourne for the game. Only seen us lose once in Melbourne and never at the G. Frist time for everything I suppose.
You obviously don't come to Melbourne much then. I've lived here for a few years and seen only a few wins... Let's hope you bring your luck with you.

Agree with this. I also thought he showed a bit as a forward. If he plays there well and good.

As for the rest.... Horrid

Picking Brown or Mackay to be the sub - we only dropped one defender and brought in two, three if you count Jaensch who is instead expected to play forward, plus they're both coming back from injury.

All the outs deserved to be. Reilly hasn't been terrible but he should be held to a high standard that he has not met. Kerridge has bottomed out after his peak and needs a breather. Crouch was definitively not up to AFL standard, seems to be quite a ways behind the likes of Lyons and Laird in his development. Needs a lot more time learning in the SANFL.
