Think Roughy to Lynch and Moore to Reiwoldt with Howe chopping in to help out in the air will be the way to go. Need some good performances from Langdon, Aish, Maynard to try and nulify the effects of Higgins, Rioli, Butler. The biggest thing for me is not all 4 of Langdon Howe Moore and Roughy need to go up and fly for every contest, against the cats to many times 3/4, if not 4/4, flew and left a nest of cats at the feet of the contest free.

I'll back our midfield to make amends for last week, but wouldn't mind a change of Brown for Greenwood to pick up a Martin/Cotchin type. In our last two games a mid has carved us up (Shuey and Kelly) and neither time was close attention put in play for either of them and we paid the price.

Up forward, the Rance injury makes it interesting. While his intercepting and ability to chop of will be missed, i think his leadership and organisation skills will be missed even more. I think rolling all of Elliot, De Goey, Cox and Stephenson deep and trying to cause as much chaos in the tigers backline is the way to go. Mihocek and Thomas, I'd have them up the ground and try and clear out as much space inside 50 and try and make it a genuine 4on4, we saw last year that isolating the tigers backline and not allowing a spare creates scoring opportunities for us as long as we can get the ball in there quickly and cleanly we should get plenty of looks.

Overall I would back in the 22 from last week with only one change:
Out: Brown
In: Greenwood

. Think we're a little underdone, short preperations

. Maybe too much preservation and a lack of daRe

I'm all for changing it up whilst guys are out

A poor lose not unexpected which exposed some past demons and unearthed some new ones

Richmond exploit your turnovers
If you move it slow and don't provide genuine contests your in trouble
They always have skiers out the back

BACKLINE

Very top heavy last week
Blind freddy can see that won't work specially against a quick front 50
No offensive run
No overlap
Failure to execute game plan

There's gonna be some changes and I'm going a bit left field
. Can brown play back pocket ? Played forward pocket in 18s , can he lock down on Higgins
This gives Maynard a spot up field

. I'm concerned that we lack real drive from our wings

We need more forward presence
Big lynch could be a wildcard , certainly can take a grab and might cause issues with rance out ( deep )
This lets us push jordy up and gives us a target when masons off the ground
. Pigs gotta come in both dusty and Cochin love him around the pill

Bears not ready ? Is wills ?

So. 2

Ins Lynch pig

Hmmmm, must have had a ripper 1st half because he lacked impact in the 2nd half.

I’m scratching my head at that one, had little impact in the first half from what I seen (must’ve really turned it on in the 5-10 minutes I missed while getting a drink!)

And to pick Quaynor out as showing promise, on the performance I seen Atu and Tolhill showed more in the time I was there.

I'm terribly vague today, more than usual. Who is 'walshy'?

I've already edited
I meant lynch
On the phone ( and took a call)

Can be a prescence up forward overhead
Take a chance?

We have zero structure
Could he offer something different

Thing we need jordy up field

How did lynch go?

No need to overreact on the basis of a poor showing in the first round.

I'd take the measured approach so as not to disrupt the team chemistry.

OUT: S. Pendlebury
IN: G. Borthwick

Gus had next to zero impact in the VFL practice match, might have to wait till next week. ;)

And not as if he didn't stand out in the fluoro boots, proverbial dogs balls on a budgie.

Apparently Pendlebury went in for scans. Says he'll be ok but, sigh, expect diminished performance.

They had him on Ch9 news last night as he was on his way out from the scans and he was extremely cagey on why he was there. Did not want to say what the problem was and only said it wasn’t related to the back issue he had last year and the scan was all good. Pendles was doing his best Jedi “these are not the droids you’re looking for” mind tricks with the reporter.

Pendles weekly podcast will be out on Wednesday I think so I'm sure he will go into it then.

Not sure on changes,
If we had of kicked straighter and converted, thinking Pendles sorry but every time he kicks for goal i brace my self and say this is going left,Cox,Treloar,Grundy had shots at goal that should have been converted.
Then the open goal that was blown!
So that is 5 goals missed and we lost by 7 points.
For me no change at this stage.
