Bit worried about this. I'll be at the game and I work with a heap of Richmond fans.

Many, many beers will be consumed

I was at the game where Sherman from American Pie kicked 10 against us. The other eagles fan bailed at half-time and left me with a dozen Tigers fans.

McGovern, Natanui, Duggan, Bunga............if anyone heres those being yelled out repeatedly your in good company :thumbsu:

McGovern is best chanted in a growl

Natanui you need a bit of bounce in the tones

Duggan I feel is best pronounced with 5 g's in the middle

Bunga I utter as if ive been falconed

Selwood should play a hard tag on Cotchin, my word that boy can play. We need to scrap it out, it does not matter if we win ugly.

Eagles are now the favourites to win this match

Martin is in a lot better form and far more damaging. Cotchin gets a lot of possesions going sideways and backwards. I would put the tag on Martin.

Cotch, Martin and Lids might try to avoid the tag by rotating through the fwd line. I'd give them attention in the centre, but maybe shutting Houli down off half back would be more effective?

Hopefully we have put some work into Houli. He has been excellent in the Tige games I have seen.

Both sides seem to have done well not dominating clearances but pressuring the kick from the middle and turning the ball over along half back and attacking from there. Tigers haven't won the clearances in any of their past 4 (couldn't be assed looking further back) I expect we are similar.

Late mail on AFL.com saying The Govs still in doubt (according to Larking at around 1420 EST today), anyone got anything on that?
Also confused as to why the bookies apparently have us as favs!!

He hardly trained yesterday but he doesn't have any strapping on that thigh. Considering Barass didn't travel I'm sure he will play. We can't be without another tall.

  1. 2:39pm: Jeremy McGovern (corked thigh)Jeremy McGovern has flown to Melbourne but barely trained on Thursday at the Junction Oval. West Coast has a bye next week, meaning the club could afford to risk flying him this week even if he was less than a 50-50 chance to play on Friday night because of a corked thigh.

"The bleed he had into his thigh last week was quite significant,” Dr Larkins said.

"Flying usually rules them out the next week, so it's surprising he has come up. They wouldn't have flown him over if he was a definite out. With the padding and treatment during the week, the Eagles would be hoping he could come up."
Nothing we didn't already know. I would be surprised if he didn't play.
