No changes bar Aish. Don't care who comes in; just don't want that waste of space on the field. I know I'm harsh on him, but it's like playing with 17 players when he's out there.

It's not like he's a Daicos or Brown where you play them for some experience and minutes. He's useless.

Nah no need to rest Treloar given it's a 9 day break.

No change surely.

9 day break & it’s round 3 coming up. If we are resting players for round 3 we need a good hard look at ourselves.
Another crazy call from Adz.

Varcoe always provide a couple of clever moments but his overall output has lessened year on year at Collingwood and his goal kicking ability is miles below his best years at Geelong.

He'll play next week but it's hard to see him holding his place once Adams and Hoskin-Elliott are fit to return as both are miles more influential on an outcome of a match.

Wouldn't be bringing Sier in after what i've seen the last couple of weeks in the VFL. It's never been a strength but his body language is not good. Continually drops his head and intensity just disappears at times. Not sure what's going on with him, but the only thing stopping him is how much he wants it and i'm not convinced at the moment.

Only got to see the last half, Treloar isn't right IMO, his kicking is atrocious especially on the run.

We’ve been watching different Treloar’s because the one I’ve watched for the past 8 seasons has always been iffy on the fly. He’s 100% fit.

I’ll back our back 7 in against WC fwd third so for me it’s a about forward presence v midfield supremacy. Varcoe was the worst of our fwd group and it’s two down games in a row so he’s the most vulnerable. Aish won’t be dropped and rightly so.

I would go:

In: Sier/ Wills
Out: Varcoe

We’re operating in a silo so we can only go on what’s been proven so Sier has to be in the mix. Play Beamer and Steele forward more and you comfortably cover Varcoe’s output offensively with the added midfield power hopefully overcoming the hit you take at ground level defensively.

What we’ll see:

No change.

And I’m cool with that.

I'd persist with Varcoe. I do think his forward pressure causes turnovers and he has neat skills.
So often, players panicking cause turnovers which hurt us. Varcoe doesn't tend to do that (admittedly he doesn't have a lot of the ball).
With Beams in the team, we may get away with not having Sier in the team against the Weagles.

His kicking is atrocious because he is stuffed from gut running up and back. It's a common problem, there aren't many who run that hard and quick and that use the ball really well all the time.

Varcoe and Aish are the only ones on the potential chopping block, but for team unity, you would leave them unchanged.

It was a fantastic performance.

Matches like this can really galvanise the group.

Stephenson didn’t have his best game.
He seems to lack the same impact he had last year.

I would love to see him play deep forward, and outrun any defender back to goal.

He gets a little bit lost when he plays higher up the ground.
