Has a feel of panic about it to me.

A lot more than JKH and 2018 Garlett.

Not sure why Hannan attracts so much criticism on here - provides a marking target, applies plenty of pressure, loves a crumb and averages a goal and a half a game.

That, and when he has the ball he runs like he’s trying to knee himself in the face which is the kind of entertainment I go to the football for.

Unfashionable role player who can have some real quiet games but he is still much more competitive than Garlett nowadays, and can actually compete in the air too. Agree with saj_21 when you watch a game live he runs his arse off chasing, Petracca has started to do the same thing and it’s the reason I’ve been a lot less critical of him recently.

Great changes, JKH potentially a little unlucky as I thought ANB and Spargo were worse on the weekend but they have more runs on the board..

Next time you go to a game live, just watch his pressure in the forward 50. Charges around like a madman, doesn’t win huge numbers but is a clever footballer

What does Bugg offer that Hannan doesn't? I'm a Hannan fan and am aware he is in the 20-30 ranked players on the list, but he is comfortably a better footballer than Bugg.

Bugg has lost his campaigner mojo. He was playing alright leading up but his easy misses were so deflating. We have Weid, Tmac and AVB as lead up targets anyway so we don't need Bugg for that. Easily prefer Hannan as a crumbing player, his micro-snaps when he first started were awesome.

Garlett's lack of consistent effort is enough to trade him/ not play him. We need to draft a tackling machine small forward, everyone seems to have a few except us.

Doesn't take much to offer more than Garlett at the moment. Hannan can play Garlett's role, and is more versatile and can play up the field. Will also do more than stand behind the pack and hope the ball falls into his lap, so your point is invalid, etc.

I agree Gartlett has been poo. But he can offer the occassional spark or bit of brilliance that Hannan cant. Hannan is the most vanilla of vanilla players.

Plus I dont think Hannan was brought into replace Jeffy, Kent was.

Nothing really. Both ranked around the 30 mark for players on our list.

Hannan has been dropped a couple of times this year and has been pretty average in our twos. Ditto Bugg except he has been in ripping form in our twos. Reward the in form player rather than doing the old rinse and repeat!

I am not arguing Hannan v Gartlett, I'm not sure why you are thinking this.

I just am not fan of Hannan, he isn't a bad footballer he just isn't great and imo will be delisted within 3 years

I think the changes are fair. Kent is a straight swap for Garlett who is absolutely finished, Melksham and Hibberd clearly best 22, Weidemann replaces Hogan and Hannan is there for additional forward pressure and work rate. He lacks polish Hannan but goes in harder than a bull deprived of a heifer for 12 months.

If you watch our forward line I reckon we have the slowest hand to foot of all the best sides, guys like Butler Castagna Stephenson Hoskin Elliot Fantasia Menzel Breust Puopolo Wingard etc all can get a goal in a flash of brilliance.

The only player we have capable of doing that is Hannan.
