What we will actually do:
Out
Doedee
IN
Worrell
Game plan - Back the boys in.
Soligo had a good game against Brisbane, imho. Unfortunately his poor games are very poor.Love Soli, but just feel like he's the guy thats gasping most for the bye round. For me, he was in the bottom 6 of our players against the Dogs, Lions and Suns. I'm not worried long term, but I think a 2 week freshen up might do him the world of good.
Let him come back up to speed for the 2nd half of the season.

On the first view I didn't notice him much, but I re-watched the Lion's game and thought it was fairly forgettable by his standards. In a game where everyone played really well, he played below his best,Soligo had a good game against Brisbane, imho. Unfortunately his poor games are very poor.
I would still play him against West Coast and then see how he plays against Collingwood after the bye.
We have no developmental ruck list spots but we are happy to carry players like McPherson. Tyler Brown, Crouch. None of them are playing AFL.Yeah not ideal. Trying to avoid Hberg. As you said, we have no development Rucks on our list. Basically wasting two list spots with Hbetg and Strachan.
Or just have Thilthorpe all game. Tex up forward and Murray Ruck defensively.
I think Thilthorpe is ready to take on Ruck. He may not dominate raw taps like RoB, but he adds more being the tall mid.
RoB gets involved in a lot of link play, plus defensive marking.
Thilthorpe is a much better option in these roles. A great mark of the ball and midfielder ball skills.

Management is only for players that have played 1 gameOn the first view I didn't notice him much, but I re-watched the Lion's game and thought it was fairly forgettable by his standards. In a game where everyone played really well, he played below his best,
I'd manage him this round, not play him in either team. Its a long season and he's only 20 (with 28 games under his belt). He's played a lot of senior footy and his best is very very good. 2 weeks of freshening up and he'll be right back there IMO!

Lol!Management is only for players that have played 1 game![]()
Against the Bulldogs Soligo had 7disposals and 2 tackles in 88% ToG. Now that was a shocker. On the first view I didn't notice him much, but I re-watched the Lion's game and thought it was fairly forgettable by his standards. In a game where everyone played really well, he played below his best,

Wouldn't surprise me at all. Defensive selections have continually been head scratchers and I'm not sure if it's Burns or Nicks who is driving that.I have a horrible feeling that Worrell won't be an automatic in this week. I hope i'm wrong.
Should have been in last week. If he's not in this week it means that we have given up on making the 8 and or Nick's isn't the right man at the helm.I have a horrible feeling that Worrell won't be an automatic in this week. I hope i'm wrong.
I would drop RoB.
Get Thilthorpe to Ruck most of the game.
Bring in Strachan, as sub.
Ruck Thilthorpe full game till 3/4 time. Strachan come on late as a fresh option.
Give Thilthorpe a taste of leading the Ruck. He has already started a game in Ruck. Thilthorpe is our next lead Ruckman.
Bring in Gollant and Worrell. These two should be playing every game anyway.
Doedee obvious out.
Sog needs a break. Bring Parnell back. Push Jones up the ground a bit. He has been playing defensive wing/HB the last few weeks. Better suited as an attacking wing.

Someone on the doedee thread on the main board mentioned a reliable contact had confirmed a while back doedee to geelong is a done dealI feel sick for Doedee, such a sad turn of events.
Having said that, I feel like we could be telling stories about this week in 193 Josh Worrell games time. Time for you to step up and be a regular best 22 player for the next 10 year Woz.
Geez there's some "reliable contacts" on big footy hey...Someone on the doedee thread on the main board mentioned a reliable contact had confirmed a while back doedee to geelong is a done deal
So even if he had mot done his knee and that rumor is true, its no wonder that worrell signed on as it will be an open spot for him in a position he will do well in
Agree and Strachan isn't any good. He's a poor man's ROB which means he is real bad.I don't see the benefit in playing Strachan as a sub.
If a player gets injured early in the game what then? Having him as a sub offers us absolutely zero flexibility.
From what I have seen of Strachan he shouldn't even be on our list still, he's garbage. The only reason he's still at the club is because our abysmal list management as we have zero backup for ROB.
Yeah this is fairly evident as I thought Worrell was off. Why keep playing Doedee though? Maybe they are protecting Worrell from any injury seeing as though he is the future. They are happy to play Doedee as that is the cats problem if he got an injury may have been their thinking. Possibly he was on the phone to his manager during the game to ask about the clauses in the contract with the cats. If they agreed to take him they seem like a stand up organisation that doesn't back away from a deal.Someone on the doedee thread on the main board mentioned a reliable contact had confirmed a while back doedee to geelong is a done deal

Are you serious?Yeah this is fairly evident as I thought Worrell was off. Why keep playing Doedee though? Maybe they are protecting Worrell from any injury seeing as though he is the future. They are happy to sacrifice Doedee as that is the cats problem if he got an injury may have been their thinking.
Yeah we really dodged a bullet by not keeping Worrell in the side. Are you serious?
Doedee came back in for his leadership in the backline...the fact Josh was subbed off with a full body cramp and the Darwin travel and humidity likely fed into that as well.
I think the body cramp stuff was a bit overblown. They could have played Worrell if they wanted too. Nick's took a gamble and it didn't pay off. It didn't pay off down at Geelong as well when Hinge went off. In any event at least we can now get games into Worrell and hopefully there is no more serious injuries. Looks like another key tall back along with a mid is our priority in the offseason. Also a young developing ruck should be on the radar. Are you serious?
