How far away is Dawes and Hogan?

Roos said after the game that Dawes is 2-3 weeks off.

Hogan... who knows? I'd guess 4 weeks, but that's really just based on gut feel.

Was gonna like the post but there needs to be a dislike button, not cuz i disagree with the post but i hate the content of it

Evans anyone?

Really liked his game last year until injury struck again. Would be no worse than Bail or Trengove.

Hey guys - just been amazed by bennell

What was the reasoning for letting him go?

What part of his 16 disposals amazed you?

Because he was inconsistent but majority of games was unsighted, although there are others i think should have been delisted over him

Is a back pocket expected to get more than 16 disposals? Had a really nice game tonight, provided great intensity and rebound, but it will be interesting to see how he goes against a better opposition.

Well 'to be amazed' it depends where your initial expectations were. Considering he was delisted by Melbourne, it's amazing he's still playing AFL football, let alone being one of the better players on the field.

Cale Morton is an example of the opposite of this situation.

Good luck to him. We could never get any consistency out of him but hopefully he can make a better fist of it in a decent team. Also when push came to shove at the end of 2012 we weren't going to hold onto a bloke (who was delist material anyway) when he had just done an ACL. Harsh but necessary cut.

I rated him highly back when he started, hopefully he can come good for you guys.

Yeah I'd say most west coast supporters don't expect much from him this year, I was very surprised when we upgraded him from the rookie list. I guess we've got a deficiency when it comes to small backs so he'll get his chances if he can keep up tonights intensity.

He was very very good today. Clean, lovely at ground level and high damage.

I didn't expect him to be named, he was. I didn't expect him to beat his opponent(s), he did. I didn't expect him to impact with some real flair and dash, again wrong.

Kinda shocked TBH.

Bennell Undoubtedly has some talent, we saw small glimpses at Melbourne, if you blokes can harness it then all power to you

man this sunday might be a hiding :(

We need to prey that Tommy Mac is fit or it could be seriously seriously ugly... Dare I say it but boy oh boy could we have used Sellar and Possibly even Gill... Well maybe not him

I reckon Gawn will come in to help out with our forward line and also to help combat their rucks. He was very good for Casey from reports.

I just cant see Pederson being dropped either - not when we have such limited options up front, and he may even be needed in defense if the Eagles play so many talls again next week.

I'll take a stab at their being 1 change only.

In: Gawn
Out: JKH

Wow, we will have to improve tenfold if we expect not to be blown out of the water by WC on Sunday.

Bulldogs were exposed very easily tonight, smashed in the ruck and were just too small everywhere. We will also need to be much more tidy with the ball, so many of the eagles goals were from careless turnovers. Minson was absolutely smashed by WC's 4 talls so expect Gawn to get the nod.

OUT: Jay-Kennedy Harris, Bail, Pederson
IN: Gawn, Viney, Blease

FWIW: We got rid of Bennell because he was inconsistent, would play well for a game then would go missing the next, difficult to spring together consistent games at a club like Melbourne especially when you are a fringe player. Loved his endevour and always had a crack. Was very impressive tonight for the eagles and showed a lot of zip and class, hopefully he strings a few games together for ya

Got concussed in a VFL game the other week. Played there again this weekend. Hopefully he can come in for round 2.

I dislike Pederson as much as every one else on here, but unfortunately he needs to play until Dawes/Hogan is/are fit. Hopefully Fitzy is fit to play, use Gawn as forward/ruck and leave Fitzy forward, but we need Pederson as another option.

Viney to come in if fit, i think Blease should of played Saturday night. We looked most dangerous in the first 20mins of the first quarter when we got the ball over the top and Blease's leg speed would of been invaluable.

Just keep him forward, Blease scares me when he gets the ball on the HBF
