It sickens me that despite StKilda looking from the outside to be a rabble that they are now 2-0 (despite who they played)

We are very likely to be sitting on the foot of the table again after while the saints will be top 8
I used to think i thought for sure we had a better list than Stkilda but maybe I just have to accept that almost everyone on our list is not as good as i thought they were

I will reserve judgement on them for now , but take Riewolt out of their line-up and i think they would be screwed . Put in him our team now and ....well top 8 in not just fantasy. They still have enough of the group left that played finals together to provide leadership to their kids .

Probably still not 'priority pick' far back though.

EDIT: And the worst part of it is I think we've improved. The problem is the sides around us are still head and shoulders above us or have improved even more.

Every year clubs around us have individual players improving from B to A , C to B and so on
We have a list full of players who have never really improved since being drafted, or have become good players but never taken the next step

The end of this season the acid Needs to go to players like Trengove, Grimes, Frawley and these guys to step up and be better than good

We will win some games against some half decent teams this year because we have a decent game plan and coach.

If you were thinking we were going to get out of the bottom 4 this year you had your head up your arse. 4-5 wins is about right. We dominated the game for the most part last week, just dont know how to win or have anyone to kick too in the 50.

I was disappointed we lost but the signs are there we are on the improve. Its a long way back that Roos and Taylor (recruiting has been atrocious, as i may have mentioned before ) are coming from.

It's hard to tell how good teams are in the early rounds yes Stkilda are 2 wins but who else are they going to beat? Yes it's a bit upsetting blowing a chance for an early win. Don't get me wrong St Kilda did out play us but Melbourne were wasteful and so were GWS. Saints could of easily have been 0-2. Talking about early rounds 2008 we copped Hawthorn, Western Bulldogs, then Geelong in Geelong. Completely shot our season

I reckon well be playing a very very slow style of play tomorrow - Roos won't want an early blow out which could knock the players confidence/motivation.

You can add Watts to that, If he becomes a Goodes/Goddard type with Trenners being the Okeefe/Bartel Type then we have the makings of a quality midfield which is the first thing you need to build to be a good side

I watched GWS StKilda today and Kelly already looks a likely type , the Game changer is Salem, if he can be one of those gems you get around the 8-12 mark (Dangerfield, Sidebottom etc) if he ends up good we have smashed that deal because Tyson Oozes class

I hope so. I just rate West Coast, they were ravaged by injuries last year having started premiership favourites.

I think if we can score more than we did last week and kick straighter it would be somewhat of a "pass mark". Can't see us winning this week, or being competitive for more than 2 quarters

I rate them as well. In fact i had a bet on them making the top 4 back in January for the exact reasons you stated.

But i can see us pushing them a little bit today, our midfield isnt that much inferior to WCE's, they will dominate the ruck and their tall forwards are a worry, but like i said, we have a game plan and a coach who knows how to coach (he will push the numbers back to help out) now.

We cant win because we have no forward line, plain and simple, but i believe Roos will make sure we are competitive for the majority.

And..... the big AND.....we aint playing at the ******* DOME!
