In bevo's message to members he specifically mentions lewy young, saying be has been playing well, and that roberts has had his chances. Also mentions schache.

Lewy young would give better flexibility: ruck, forward or back. I just dont see him as a good match up for kennedy or darling. They will monster him. Need to keep trengove back to play on Kennedy with zaine on darling. Lewy young can play ruck and forward with english, and head back if needed.

I also think dickson may come back in, and is the better replacement for richards.

Toby has been down for a few weeks.

I'm tending to the view that we should play English as a fwd ruck for the rest of the year and flog Trenners as the primary ruck.

For these reasons

1) I dont see the point in risking long term injury to English. He can ruck 30 to 40% and workhorse trenners 60 to 70%. That would be enough learninga I reckon for English without killing him. And he can have an impact forward.
2) I selected my Pieman team on a punt this would happen (Naughts is also sent back to decence).

Anywho, no tall, regardless of who it is should be expected to do it alone. Its too tough and confidence sapping for the young talls we have up against the experienced defenses around the league.

But for all this to work, one of Le Young or Schache has step up to the plate in a KPF capacity and if Le Young could also present himself as a viable KPD option that would be just fine.

With Wallis and crozier out I’d be bringing in Lewis young and west (to play as a pressure small forward.

Wallis out could mean we actually have a more balanced line up, less inside mids meaning Dunkley and libba carry more of the load.

Depends how good of a buddy you are with the coaches. It took roughly six weeks for Lipinski to get rewarded. Hayes and the other Young were virtually straight in.

Dickson to come in for some experience we are already young. Could use some cooler heads at times, going to be a number of changes can afford one older campaigner

Richards needs form, Vandermeer looks a likely type brings speed a good kick and debutant excitement.
Schache needs to be persisted with showed a fair bit last season.
I liked English forward and think he should do a Luke Darcy apprenticeship playing Forward and chopping out ruck. Ruck is Trengove’s best spot imo. Naughton has support in English/Schache. We need a fast small pressure forward but don’t have one.
Young gets a deserved go with Trengove rucking.
I worry about leg speed with these selections but Croz and Wallis aren’t real quick so Schache and Young give us height but don’t lose much speed. Apologies to Crozier I may be wrong on his speed. Cordy on Kennedy, Young on Darling. Geez we need speed this off season thought we might have addressed that tonight at draft.If the three talks forward isn’t working or Kennedy gets a hold of us English can ruck and Trengove goes back so have that flexibility. Not sure how the forward line will go but gives them something to think about and we have targets taking pressure of Naughton.

The injuries suck, but pose an opportunity to try something completely different. What we absolutely cannot do is go back to the likes of Hayes and Lachie Young - it's simply accepting that the injuries mean we go backwards.
