Liam Stocker was shifted onto Petty because Fritsch and then Melksham brained him. I don’t mind Petty being chucked forward very occasionally either to fill a structural hole or to create a mismatch. But he’s played about 40 games of his career as a forward for a return of well under a goal a game. It’s enough of a sample size to say that his best footy is as a defender. If only the idiots on the match committee could see that too.
