You dont reckon he can make it? How do you know for sure hes gone. I saw him against Collingwood a couple of weeks back, moved a bit sore, but no enough to suggest his season is over imo

Wouldn't say so, he has been back playing VFL for only a couple of weeks and he looks rusty and his form hasn't been that great

I think he has worries about Hislop as he does not have the cleanest hands down low. Personally I kind of agree and think he should be developed as a mid-sized defender.

obviously hislop's constant niggles are a concern, but the sydney game from earlier in the year was proof enough that he can cut it at the afl level if he gets his body right

Concerns about his skill level ,particulary the dinky little up and under kicks. Also concerns about his aggresion at the contest that generally leads to him giving away head high free kicks or getting injured. He needs to get some control into his game.
He will probably be alright but i am just not sucked into the hype that he has had on him.

I got told that if he did not come through the Collingwood v Bendigo game ok he would be heading of to have the groin op done.
You have to adit he looked bloody slow in that game.

The only players that would be considered IMO, are,

Hooker, has played extremely well by all reports for the last 2 months, mainly as a key defender, running and creating.

Hocking, has started to come good after injuris interupted first bit of season. Is being used all over, not entirely sure about him though.

Magin, has been the only one to have played consistantly, the whole year to date, has been used predominantly as a small forward who runs through the midfield, could be a handy little player, do have question marks over size of the kid for AFL level.

Dempsey, will have to come in for Reimers, is up and about, seemed to be coasting in the last VFL game (V Frankston) but ran the game out well, and mentioned to me that "the body is feeling fine".

Will not go with one of Chartres, Dick or Bellchambers,

Just my assumption, At this stage.

i'd expect lucas to come in this week. they may as well try to see if his body can hold up this season. if he can't contribute this week, we can then put him on the shelf for next season. we have no chance of making the finals if scotty isn't kicking goals.

if knighta thought hooker was ready for afl footy he would have given him a game last week against the bottom side. especially seeing as we had plenty of talls out.
