Spot on. I don't see the point in risking Hocking or Dempsey to play their first games (basically) of the season in WA on a ground notorious for knee and soft tissue injuries. Michael allows Knights to release Ryder/Fletcher if needed, Rama will be given every opportunity to prove himself (although he struggled badly on the weekend), and why not swap pacy youngster for pacy youngster against a bottom side?

I got told that if he did not come through the Collingwood v Bendigo game ok he would be heading of to have the groin op done.
You have to adit he looked bloody slow in that game.
True, he moved nothing like what i've seen in past games. Didn't help when he tried to run through the centre of the ground then got owned:(
I reckon he can become a very good player for us, if he can solve his kicking. I dont think its too bad, but I have noticed he has a wierd grip of the ball. Like his potential:thumbsu:

Get the feeling that Knights is not even considering bringing Hooker in to the team. Of course saying that he might come in this week with Lucas being out. Dempsey will certainly play which is excellent as his damaging runs are vital for the future as he creates so much drive with his pace and daring. Hocking is a possibility but one more week in Bendigo will make sure he is at 100% fitness. At most there will be two changes this week unless there are a few injured which we do not know about.

Funny how Demspey and Hocking have played the same number of games back from injury but people see Hocking as needing another week in the VFL
If any of you had of seen the running at the end of training today you may have different views. Hocking finished level with Stants and Woosha in his group while Dempsey finished a distant last in his.......

IN: Dempsey, Hocking.
OUT: Reimers(inj), Rama.

Dempseys a definite IN, but I'm still a little mixed between Hocking and Daniher. Daniher can play half forward as a replacment for Lucas but then hocking will help a lot in covering the subiaco ground. Hocking obviously would get the go ahead because Dazza hasn't played through bendigo yet... Rama is a certain omission.

Gumby a slim chance.

He is a 0% chance, he may still be another week away from playing VFL and he hasn't been doing many tackling drills. I'd say that he may be a slim chance to even play an AFL game this year.

Is slim the same as zero?

He is still a week or two away from even playing for Bendigo.

You will be very lucky if you even see him play one senior game this season.

Could somebody please explain the situation with Scotty?
I'm reading articles on the net that say he'll be in line for selection this week if he passes a fitness test but i swear that I've heard from other reports that we'll be lucky to see him again this season.

IN: Lucas (If Fit), Dempsey,
OUT: Reimers, Rama

Bring in Dempsey because we need a little extra speed and endurance on Subiaco Oval and bring Lucas in to provide some valuable support for Lloyd. It may also play him back into some form.

Maybe Rama out because he's been struggling and may just need a rest. Great, courageous player though. Raring to see Hocking get chance in the near future. Like the look of Magin too.

Matthew Knights mentioned that Scotty is doubtful this week but will give him until Friday to prove his fitness. By the sounds of it, if he misses this week he is a certainty fir the week after.

Thanks. I appreciate it :thumbsu:

Channel Ten ruled out Lucas for this weekend...

It's a blow no doubt but our forward line functioned without him last week, we'll have to do it gain this week. Hopefully he's right for Adelaide.

Although we got the win last week, we were falling down across half forward badly IMO the reason Melbourne got so close.

totally agree and will be even harder this week with the longer ground. lloyd was great last week closer to goal but imo will be needed further up the ground this week. and he will have a harder match up with glass. and yes i know he is not 100% fit but he would still be a better player then the ones that matty had last week

Hocking and Dempsey are the only chances to come in this week i suggest. Knights Said Hooker was close but probably won't play this week.

Accoridng to BB Aktinson and Rama are apparently doubtfull for tomorrow, also Hooker didn't play for bendigo today so we could see a late inclusion.
