Played the first half up forward. Was switched to Watson later on, did nothing. Nice contrast there - they're a similar age and were both recruited as ball winners. I'm not sure which one is better at the moment...

Best to let him go i think & He probably will now that he's a free agent - Cant keep players like that that dont want to be there to infect the young guys.

But i strongly believe its the coaching assistants that have NFI

Meh, Gillies is rubbish but he's played 2 games for us. Sylvia is 27 and the club have stuck by him for nearly 10 years. Wasted effort.

If we're going to be this bad you'd say get the kids in and build for the future... which would be a lot more productive had we not traded in some old guys and VFL players for some younger players and draft picks. Gysberts must be the happiest bloke on an AFL list. Can also imagine a lot of very good young 17 year olds having dark thoughts about next season's draft.

I would've thought that if you were going to trade a first round pick that you would've got an experienced mid to help out Jones.

Neeld isn't a bad coach - look at his record. Mick wouldn't have appointed him if he wasn't good
I think he showed good leadership after the game where he just said we've it to stay together and work harder - Rocket and the likes would've berated them after that.

Would make for great television at draft time though. Can imagine them sticking the microphone under the poor #1 draftee's tearful gob: "I'm just devastated". Then move on to stoic parents: "Junior can bounce back from this".
