Agree wholeheartedly. However Maxy's only had one run in the VFL and apparently his match fitness isn't quite there yet so i think we should play Spencil for a few weeks before he comes in. Can't wait wait to see him take over the no1 ruck role though.

Happy to have an aggressive Spencil mixing it up as well as Gawn (when ready) Ryder s nothing special when it comes to being a ruckman. However he looked like a champion against Jamar.

Well, you just officially killed me and in doing so the 20 other people that show up at the G this week.

Worlds crappiest suicide bombing attempt to happen this Saturday afternoon at the G.

As soon as you put Spencer in ahead of Gawn you were wrong, Gawn dominated at Casey and should replace Jamar and Clark can back up.

Big max is coming back from his 2nd knee operation and you want to whack him straight back into the seniors after one game. Shortsighted and desperate is what i call that.
Gawn played well at Casey for sure but he needs a few more weeks to get full match fitness. Spencer will give you a solid contest and will do his best to hurt a few opponents as well :thumbsu:

B: Terlich Frawley Garland
HB: Pedersen M.Jones Bail
C: Grimes Viney Trengove
HF: Howe Jetta Byrnes
F: Blease Clark Davey
R: Spencer Jones McKenzie
I/C: Tapscott Barry Taggert (Magner)

How in God's name will Jake Spencer be any better than Jamar or even Gawn? The bloke is farking ordinary. He won't be any better.

I'm just bored. Wouldn't mind seeing the likes of Barry and Taggert though. Should chuck up a poll of how much we're gonna get flogged on Saturday by.

I just want to see Jamar out of the team and Gawn isn't fit yet. Spencer is obviously very ordinary but i thought he showed glimpses of promise towards the end of last year. Bringing him in is just a stop gap measure until Gawn's fit.

There's always Cam Pedersen, Fitzpatrick (when not injured), Mitch Clark and we could always chuck someone whose tall and got a bit of weight on them in the ruck if we're that drastic... Sellar, Watts, Tom McDonald, Troy Davis, etc

The only time i'd be happy for Clark to ruck is next year when Hogan is in the side, or maybe this year when Dawes comes in.

Out: Neeld

In: Craig
I don't think so. Unless your players come out and tell him to his face that the message from him is not getting through.
I'd love to see the Dees get stuck into the business of beating the Eagles next week.
Forget about the inner politics in administration , if there is a problem there the club will sort that out .

The football department and the coach have to have a look at the message, but more importantly the players need to play for that jumper.
Your the oldest club in Australia maybe in the world in a big team sport.

Now is not the time to sack and bag and throw abuse at those young fellows. They'll come around and improve.
Its round 2, Melbourne are one of the rebuilders and lower expectations were expected anyway.
Stick Dees, you'll get there.
The second a little confidance hits home it will all unfold, for the better.

The coach may need a different approach , I have no idea, but no sackings and dummy spitting , consolidation is what the Demons need now , and keep getting better.

How injured is Jack?

At the opening bounce, I want to see Grimes, Trengove and Jones in the centre square. They are our 3 leaders - put them in the middle and tell them attack the ball ferociously and lay a bone crunching tackle on the opposition from the get go. Have Jamar go for Cox's ribs. Set a physical standard for the rest of the team to follow.

Could make 20 changes if it was possible. But we are clearly too tall in defence and void of any presence in the midfield. So they are the two things we need to look at right away. Watts can move to half forward where he belongs and players like Gillies, Rodan and Sellar can GTFO and never return!!!

OUT

Jamar - the guy is shot. can't jump and can't cover the ground anymore. trade at seasons end please...
Rodan - game has gone past him. use only as a last option please...
Gillies - GTFO...
Sellar - adds nothing but dropped marks. GTFO...
Toumpas - kid is clearly not getting the support he needs, so go back to Casey...
Nicholson - besides a little pace, the guy can't play. Back to Casey for good please...

IN

Gawn - why not? play him and Clark 50/50 gametime in the ruck and at FF. Jamar is gone, and I simply shudder when anyone suggests playing Spencer...
Strauss - play this guy for the rest of the season please. Need ball users out of defence...
McKenzie - If fit, an automatic inclusion...
Jetta - Personally don't rate him highly, but he has a crack and thats' all we can ask for atm...
Tappscott - played well at Casey. Leave him in the seniors like Strauss and Blease all season...
Kent/Couch - I'd play Magner, but he can't be promoted. Would be happy with either these getting a game...

Neeld has shown in the first two games that he has no idea on picking a side. We have picked two far too tall sides with hardly any run. Frawley, McDonald and Garland can take the talls. We dont' need 5 talls down back for christ sakes! Move Watts down forward and get Strauss and Jetta in defence, move Sylvia into the midfield permanently, and never play Sellar and Gillies again!!!!

You're right mate. Put it down to aimless venting. I'm not entirely sure how we'll go under Neeld but with clear water he deserves a chance.

Dean Kent needs to play. His run and carry plus the booming left foot would be a terrific addition to the side.

Wouldn't mind seeing Evans have a run as well.

At least given the fact that he's coming back from a season-long injury, you'd probably get the level of effort out of him that you'd expect.

His hands, disposal and decision making are all awful?

His left kick is okay, but he is incredibly one sided. That's a problem. They had 75 inside 50s, I can't blame him for making a few gaffs. He takes the game on though, is very fast and I think makes better decisions than our 5 other defenders most of the time.

I'm with you on this. He adds a little bit of pace to the side as well.
