Mundy...

Mundy has an absolute shocker on the weekend, was destroyed by sydney's midfield (we clearly run the ruck battle too...), got cheap possies and hack kicks forward or handballs out of the contest straight to a sydney player, didn't chase or put any pressure on and Sydney's mids were left running free to hit targets in the forward 50.

It was a Tom Rockliff style game, the numbers don't tell the full story

Thanks wTG. I thought Pearce was probably one of those picked before Aliir. Forgot that Apeness was in the same draft. Too early to tell who of the three is going to be the best. Although when in doubt the rule should be to always go for the EF boy. Except if it's Polak of course.

The build up to the derby has been lacklustre to say the least. I guess that's what happens when two teams who will have zero impact in the finals face off so close to end of H&A season.

From someone who was at the game, he was destroying his opponent over the ground, flying for marks, bringing the ball to ground, hitting targets with kicks and actually putting in the effort to run even when the game was lost.

Who actually even got close to him from our team? I am struggling to think of anyone, Ibbo and Langdon would be close but otherwise most of our team was pretty lackluster

FFS Clarke? Got a few taps and took a couple of easy-ish marks. IMO, he was nowhere near bog for us. Lachlan Neale for mine.

Yeah nah. Tabs is our only key forward going into next season. If we drop him every time it's wet, how is he going to get experience?

That's the kind of thinking that cost us a premiership last year. Dropped Tabs 10 times then brought him back underdone for the Prelim.

I am not saying I agree but I was right in my changes. Tabs out is a short term thing to give Pav another Derby, compare Mayne to Yarran and see Apeness as well as Clarke have a run in the same forward/ruck role. Tabs is secure for next year but those guys we need to make list decisions about and Tabs would understand that for at least this game. TBH this could be Pavs second last game along with round23 in which case Tabs plays the others at least.

There is if Mayne goes, or finally gets dropped after 2 years of shite. Obviously that will never happen though since we're quite happy to drop the best contested mark in the team in order to gift Mayne yet another game.

Great tip, friend. Frenchy should have been dropped but is one hell of a skier. I'm expecting a lazy5 goals then seeing him spud up the rest of the season. Good times ahead.
