IN: Farmer, Schammer, Ibbotson, Foster
OUT: Cook, Walker, McManus, M Carr

Swap Ibbo for McPharlin and I'd be happy with those changes.

If there are 4 changes for the Carlton game (and there almost certainly won't be 4 changes even though there should be) the ins will be McPharlin, Schammer, Farmer and Charlie Murphy.

Let's get a bit radical!!

Out: M Carr, Walker, Mcmanus, Cook, Thornton, Crowley, Soloman, Mundy
IN: Ibbotson, Foster, Farmer, Schammer, Murphy, Collard, Mcpharlin, Hadrill

Structure up like this:

FB: Hayden Hadrill Grover

HB: Black Mcpharlin Johnson

C: Peake Bell Ibbotson

HF: Headland Pavlich Tarrant

FF: Farmer Murphy Sandilands

R: Warnock Schammer J Carr
INT: Foster, Dodd, Collard, Haselby

This team with instruction to go long and fast up the middle, keep the ball moving forward at all costs look for a target in the forward fifty if nothing available kick to a one on one and back our forwards in. Never with more than two of bell, hase and J carr on the ground at the same time( we have to get faster)

This will obviously never happen but this team with a faster gameplan and half a season to get it together could be formiddable next year.......add in one or to young gun midfielders from first round draft picks and we've got ourselves a winning combo imho.

I was looking at your outs and was going to get stuck into you about dropping solomon and mundy but then i looked at the lineup... and i must say i am agreeing with you. That side will be our best 22 next year well very close anyway. Only the haddrill selection im worried about. :thumbsu:

I know what you mean about hadrill, but i think we really need to get a 'real' fullback into the lineup and hadrill is as close as we've got, give him a run and see if he's still up to it. Solomon praps a bit unlucky but he needs to learn some discipline and i really think that mundy has lost his mojo (maybe a spell inthe wafl would do him the world of good)

I know it might look like it, but this year is not gone yet. There are changes that need to be made but
Definite IN: Farmer, Shammer, McPharlin.
OUT: Walker, Cook, M Carr.

Possible INS depending on structure: Foster, Murphy

Possible Outs: Thornton, Crowley

Punish bad games reward good ones.

In: Murphy, Farmer, Schammer, Ibbotson, Foster, McPharlin

Out: M. Carr, Cook, McManus, Thornton, Walker, Crowley

OUTS: Thornton had one kick for the game and got smashed, looked out of place at times. M. Carr has to go out and learn how to kick again (didnt get a chance agianst the dogs tho). Cook well sorry to say isnt up to AFL anymore, he wont be here next year, no time for sentiment, back to WAFL. Walker, same as cookie sorry mate we gave you 150 games but time to go back to Peel. McManus, love the guy but make way for some youth now.

INS: Murphy with another 8 goals is in. Farmer back in after having the ball on a string last week. Schammer with just about 3 BOG in 3 appearances for Claremont, straight into freo midfield. Ibbo onto a wing, kicked 2 goals to win the game for East Freo against Peel. And foster just needs to play, get some experience into the kid, has had leather poisioning all year.

Bottom line is REWARD WAFL FORM and drop the passengers from the dockers lineup, forget about reputations and names and go on form.

I think it's a little unfair on Thornton...... if McPharlin had played we would have taken Johnson.... Luke is quicker and stronger so I think Johnson would have had less impact or at least would have been forced worked harder. Thornton got stuck with Johnson unprepared, I thought his earlier games this season were great.. taking the 3rd string attackers/loose defender.

I will actually be quite upset if Murphy isn't getting a run round 13, obviously his chemistry with Jeff is paying off huge with South's so I think Walker/Cook can easily be sacrificed. I just hope Jeffrey isn't instructed to set up Pav 9 out of 10 times!

Not just Jeffrey, the whole team needs to look for another target up forward. As good as tarrant has been this year he has been up the ground for most of it which leaves Pavlich as the only marking forward. Throw murphy into the side along with Farmer and get the midfielders to open their tunnel vision and look for murphy or someone else who isnt double or triple teamed.

Mundy is one of our top 10 players, Soloman has been one of our better players over the last few weeks and you need to leave crowley in if matt carr is dropped has crowleys our best run with player, i would say he beat judd in the derby. I like Foster and want him in the side but with shammer comeing back you can't fit him in. Ibotson is just not ready yet, and with Jeffrey back in the side then there is no way we can fit in collard our foward line is way to good at the moment. And thorton is in our best 22 but he was way out of his depth playing on Johnson connoly should of made the change.

My changes:
In: Murphy, Farmer, Shammer, McPharlin
Out: Walker, Cook, M Carr, McManus

I'd want Thornton out of the backline unless he's playing as a loose man in defense. He's just not up to the body on body stuff. I've probably seen one real good game out of him body on body and that was vs the Saints a year or 2 back.

I'd like to see him play on a wing or through the middle in spurts where his run could really hurt the opposition.

I'd like to see Murphy play too, but I'll be surprised if it happens. The pecking order this week will be
Farmer
McPharlin
Schammer
Murphy.
Cook and Walker will be dropped, but who will miss out for Schammer and Murphy if they are going to play? Maybe Warnie since Sandi will have had a weeks rest and the blues don't have a ruckman, but we'll need Big Nockers the week after in Sydney.

I disagree with any assessment that put's mundy into the top ten he is the number one culprit for not going in for the hard balls, not commiting his body and not blocking for his team mates. We have doddy or josh carr for run with midfield, both better and more comitted imo. How can you say that Ibbo isn't ready, he's had about half a game to prove himself in which he did OK.the boy needs a chance. As for not having room for fast skillful midfielders well praps you watch different games to me as i am dumbfounded by this statement , and really it doesn't matter who is in the best player list in a team that is consistently losing games that they should win, the structure is not working so it needs a change.

you've got to be kidding me right , Mundy is as soft as butter ..weak :thumbsd:

He's also one of the classiest players in the side and one of the very, very few who can hit a target over 40+ metres. He's also got very good decision making and rarely makes clangers. When Mundy gets the ball something good always happens.

We've just got to find the best place to use him. I'm leaning towards moving him up the ground because admittedly he lacks the last gasp desperation you need in defenders.

How about Mundy at Half Forward and send Solomon into defence where he plays his best footy (well he did at the bombers anyway).
