Please let me reiterate, its called self preservation.

Or self destruction. I would hardly call playing half fit players as being in the best interests of his career.

OUT - Hislop, Ryder, Lovett
IN - Winderlich, Jetta, Reimers
maybe they rested reimers today to make sure tat he is right for next week???
highly doubt that they would drop lovett, he is one of few who has pace

OUTS: Hislop Stanton Laycock (NASH LOVETT - if injured)
INS: Windelich Jetta Bradley JJ
bradley picked the wrong day to have a quiet one. he won't be in.
quinn said that only lovett pulled up sore and that he should be right to play
why would we bring in jj. has he all of a sudden found some pace and foot skills????

I heard Reimers may have an appendicitis.

Lovett won't get dropped, but he should be. No point playing just because he has pace if he isn't getting to enough contests.

After todays performance and the situation wer'e in ATM (lacking pace and skill), then he should be a shoe in. Lovett doesn't even seem that fast anymore, do people agree or is it just me? Unless he just doesn't use it, like he used to.

He falls over so much that he looks slow. Very hard to run fast when you are lying on the turf.
To answer your question no he hasnt always been using his pace to advantage.

In - Jetta, Winders and maybe JJ
Out - Dyson, Monfries and maybe Lovett (if injured)

We need more pace and this will do it, curious as to whether campo will come straight back in if over injury, if he is right would like to see stanton get a rest as he is nowhere near 100%, probably not near 80%

I still would like to see Jetta brought in, and i know Gumby isn't quite ready yet, but if we play him as a 3rd so it's not like we relying on him heavily, he'll just be in there to mix things up and get a taste for senior footy.
I was suprised JJ was even dropped last week because i thought he was quite good against the Bulldogs, we should just continue to play him off the bench to maximize his impact and he should continue to be a great contributer. Obviously we need some much needed pace and and better disposal in the midfield, so if Winderlich is ready then bring him in.
Having said that i'd like to see:
IN: Winderlich, Gumbleton, Jetta, JJ
OUT: Monfries, Stanton, Dyson, ???

In : J Johnson, Jetta and Winderlich
Out : Stanton (inj), Hislop and Monfries

We will need JJ's toughness against the experienced hard bodies of Adelaide's midfield.

Hislop has had his taste and needs a rest whilst Monfries doesn't do enough for me.

is stanton injured? i dont htink he is carrying anything, his been training fine, i just think he has had a few average games..
In: Jetta , winderlick, JJ
Outs: monfries, dyson, hislop

i dont like omitting hislop but if we want to make the finals we need to play our best side that we have available.. also i dont like dropping dyson but i feel the ins that i listed are necessary and i cant think of anyone else that should be dropped. some people have named MJ as an omission but i thought he was terrific against the dogs and good against the pies
kept didak to one goal.. thats a pretty good effort

Why would Jason Johnson come in after one week at Bendigo. If his performance was worthy maybe but it wasn't.

Because IMO, he played well against the Bulldogs and then was dropped which i thought was unfair, and then the week he gets dropped he played awsum for Bendigo and according to Matty Knights "controlled play around the stoppages".

It's sad isn't it.

I reckon he had a say in 3-4 of our goals in the third quarter. He was instrumental in our come back.
i must have been watching a different game. it was mcveigh watson rama in the midfield with ryder up forward that was getting them back in the game of the back of hille's dominance in the ruck.

and i dont rate swan as there best midfielder i think lockyer has been there best this year.

Out: Nash (Inj), Lovett (Inj), Hislop (Rest)

In: Winderlich, Jetta, Johnson

If one of Nash or Lovett come through fine then Laycock goes out.

Obviously Mark Thompson and Kevin Sheedy thought he was thier most dangerous midfielder because they put a heavy tag on him both weeks (Ling and Slattery). Slatts actually kept Swan to less possesions than Ling did.
