I think we went match up wise because Cox would have killed him around the ground. I presume we brought in Skipper to nullify his impact around the ground as he is more mobile.

yeh that makes sense. i reckon Ottens exposed Streeta a few times last week by running into the fwd line and he's not the first ruckman to do that to him this year.

Expect Darcy to spend more time in the ruck. Skipper can play as a marking target up forwards too, and I'm sure he and Wight will both have roles in the ruck and around the ground. Bit surprised by Power's inclusion too.

I was a bit shocked with the Street omission but apart from that it may be a good thing. The side will be a very different one to the last few years. There will be some height and athleticism in it not just a side of flankers. Having in the side Harris, Hargrave, White, Williams, Skipper, Everitt and Darcy provides a degree of flexibility and a spine at last. Only disappointment for me is Street mising out and surely Addison is a better bet than Sam Power.

I don't think we will win but it may usher in a new style of play from the Dogs.

Wight is behind only Cross & Boyd as far as endurance athletes go. Cox is known for his engine so Wight may spend more time in the ruck, especially with Power & Morris in at 190cm who could take the 4th tall in teh WCE forward line.
