Channel 10 coverage

Just wondering what others thought of the coverage? I was largely disappointed. Why?

1. Missed the opening bounce due to a commercial.
2. No half-time analysis (news)
3. No post-match- including Mark Williams being cut off to go to the next match.
4. Poor camera angles for kicks on goal
5. Many times the camera was where the ball wasn't or vice versa.

Are Channel 10 up to this gig?

I thought it was Fox's coverage. 10 just took the feed.

But yeah, there were some very sub-standard elements (can't really blame them for showing the news at half time, that's usual for mid-afternoon games.)

Apart from the news it was a Fox coverage, still poor, hope Channel 10 didn't pay them too much for it.

Some of the comments by the commentators were just plain wrong as well.

Wasn't great but Fox Sports did better than Fox Footy in all departments (well apart from boundary riders - Tiff was better than Banfield). Probably fair to say the Williams interview would've been better for everyone than the over the top openings for the other game but the news at half time is just whinging, they never say anything interesting anyway.

other than that, wasn't horrible. didn't listen to heaps of the commentary because i was in the pub, but i was fairly happy with the presentation

Watched it on Fox rather than on 10 atleaset we got to see Tredders being interviewed at half time. Will he become the next nigel "smart", he is going so bald!

Honestly if i was as bad at my job as those commentators (infact as bad as the majority of football commentators) i wouldn't have a job! Perhaps a little more time getting to know some of the players would really help, it's not that hard to do some research is it??

Banfield was a disgrace. Surely his last gig at interviewing people. He could have at least prepared some questions rather than looking like a rabbit in the headlights!!

In his defence they were meant to go up to the main commentators to ask questions after he had done the first one but there was a technical problem so he was left to do it himself. He still should have done betetr though but I guess was put on the spot.
