Channel 10 into administration

This has been a hilarious own goal. Murdoch and co deliberately pulled their funding to short the price (screwing over smaller investors at the same time), expecting the media reform to go through. Instead, CBS swoops in and buys Ten, they are unlikely to get 100c in the dollar back on their investment, and CBS will launch a competitor to Foxtel. Embarrassing business nous.

lol at the Daily Telegraph pretending Ten only now is in trouble (CBS has put it in the best shape it's been for years) and not mentioning they and Fox have the same ownership. Edict from above.

Pathetic; Rupert and Lachlan throwing their toys out of the pram because CBS beat them to Channel 10. Ironically, dedicated fans of the new shows will now download them, costing Fox more.

Are you saying people won't subscribe to Foxtel for decades old episodes of The Simpsons and MASH? :drunk:

I thought they were finding something else for him? One story mentioned bringing back 'Sports Tonight.'

* Sports Tonight. Was a poor man's SportsCenter (which is saying something given SportsCenter is a poor man's SportsCenter). Show would open with 90 seconds of mashed up highlights with dumb effects playing to the latest Jet song and would end with a shitty human interest story. Then right at the very end the host would give you a score of some game, leaving you wondering "Why didn't we see that instead of a story about some Wyong lifesaver I don't give a * about?"
