This has been a hilarious own goal. Murdoch and co deliberately pulled their funding to short the price (screwing over smaller investors at the same time), expecting the media reform to go through. Instead, CBS swoops in and buys Ten, they are unlikely to get 100c in the dollar back on their investment, and CBS will launch a competitor to Foxtel. Embarrassing business nous.

Channel 10 cant be doing too badly. Just picked up Lisa Wilkinson from Channel 9's today show to join The Project and ...other projects. Lisa maybe auditioning for CBS America although she is a tad young for their normal hosts.

* Sports Tonight. Was a poor man's SportsCenter (which is saying something given SportsCenter is a poor man's SportsCenter). Show would open with 90 seconds of mashed up highlights with dumb effects playing to the latest Jet song and would end with a shitty human interest story. Then right at the very end the host would give you a score of some game, leaving you wondering "Why didn't we see that instead of a story about some Wyong lifesaver I don't give a * about?"
