Is it so hard for Channel 7 to show a game from the start?
At the conclusion of Sharapova's match, I get ready to watch Hingis. Channel 7 do their lil update thing, then 5 mins of ads, Kia hotshots, another 5 minutes of ads, show off their extreme slow mo. Give us a glimpse of Melbourne Park from above, and then they go to the match where the 3rd game of the set has finished.
and just think these dimwits now have the footy rights.
 
I will let you in on a little secret...Hingis wins in straight sets. Opps didnt want to ruin that gem of a match.
 
Don't forget that special report on racquet stringing! Cow guts! Stuff Nalbandian and Sebastian, we need to know about stringing now!

Yup Perth just lost the coverage and its only 4.30pm, i wonder what is so important to stop showing a final. Ch7 are pathetic. :thumbsd:
 
The show that was so important that people couldnt miss is called "backyeard science"! For ********s sake ch7
 
They couldn't seriously be putting Home and Away on now. Oh ********! They are! Make a discretion call you douchebags! It's in the fifth set.
 
As if we needed more evidence that we would all be better off if ALL sport was on pay tv.

Nope, 7 won't let them show live games on inside courts usually. They gave them a game on VA the other day because of the rain.

Nope i dont think it is, ch7 have the rights to it even if they decide to run Backyard Science and then M*A*S*H instead of tennis.
 
They are showing Haas vs Daveydenko now - this is surely not live is it?

The hass v davy game finished at about 7.35

They are only showing it because center court will take about half an hour to exit everyone out and get everyone in for the night session, prehaps later even.

Exactly the same thing happened today. Sharapova's match finished, they went to ads, came back showed hotshots, slow-mo ect, talked for a bit, went to more ads and they proudly come back when the match was 2-0. I know we didn’t miss much but we shouldn’t miss anything. :mad: Why can’t they just show us the match from the beginning for crying out loud.

And then Haas and Davydenko, a QF, is about to head into the 5th set and they go to the news. Why couldn’t they just push the news back a little? :rolleyes: But nope, coverage is cut, news begins, then Today Tonight, then Home & Away. Absolutely disgraceful once again.

I hate Channel 7. :thumbsd:

The one good thing about Perth is that we never stop for the news because we are 2 hours behind...today we stopped for Backyard Science and MASH. :thumbsd: :o Now THAT is pathetic.
 
As I said in another thread this year has been the worst coverage of the tennis in years. I think perhaps now there is Foxtel as well in a limited capacity they are showing up sevens faults.

Sometimes they seem to concetrate on anything but the tennis and have really overdone the super slow motion camera and the advertising.I have enjoyed having Roger Rasheed and Darren Cahill, they have added some variety.

I don't ussually like to be hard on the TV networks and in the past have enjoyed sevens coverage but this year has been appalling.
