Every single one of us supporting a Melbourne based club are hopping like hell if it's true, its not our club!!! :(

Didn't Channel 7 learn from their mistakes with the Aker/Braun fiasco?

You obviously know nothing about how media corporates fight threats of defamation actions. Channel 7 will now hunt down any drug leads for stories to show that the AFL has no effective drugs testing regime. The WC big mouthed threats re. defamation over brainless brawn will inevitably lead to the main carrier of AFL on free to air putting pressure on the AFL over its soft on drugs policy. Simply the biggest PR disaster in the history of the AFL. Guess whose going to win this fight? Not the AFL, WC and not brainless.

it probably will

why does this matter not like the team will get players ban and people will forget this when another team or player stuffs up

4.30 news on now. Will it be on now?

Nah it will be on during Deal or No Deal.

They will have 16 cases all with the same club name on them. Andrew Demetriou will select a case. They will pop it open. Andrew Demetriou will then serve Andrew O Keefe with a massive writ written on one of those massive cheques. Then off to commercial we go

any word on who or what club? or what suburb? or anything!!?!?!?!

not going to be happy if it's essendon

they just confirmed it and said that it will be broken on 7 mark robison sounded like he knew who it was but wouldnt say anything

If it is such a huge story why would Seven advertise it, sit on it and risk flushing their very own "huge story" down the toilet?

Err, because they want people to watch their 6pm news bulletin. Not much point having a big exclusive if you only have the people that normally watch watching. Marketing 101.

I'm guessing that there's more news outlets (eg, SEN, 3AW)who know what club Channel 7 are talking about but because none of them have these so-called 'documents' are all scared to actually name the club.

I bet the 7 bosses are contemplating as to whether they've got enough 'evidence' to name the club. 2 legal cases due to naming alleged drug players/clubs in the space of a couple of weeks wouldn't go down too well.

LOL! That would be a great cross promotion. Imagine it's down to the last two cases, and your team hasn't come up yet... the nervous anticipation!

i hope it the saints haha, will make tonight interesting viewing having the two supposed druggies playing each other......

Would at least provide us with another example of how some clubs are treated vs the 'lucky' clubs.

The only recreational drugs that are LEGAL are alcohol and toba##o.
The rest are ILLEGAL .

So is jay walking. Should we have hidden cameras and a massive expose every time a player crosses the street?

What are these mysterious documents anyway? Has 7 been breaking into players bedrooms and stealing their diaries full of tales of drug fueled nightclub escapades? Or has some club been instituting an East German style systematic doping program and forgotten to destroy the paper trail?

At a company that announced a 1.6 billion dollar profit this year, doubt it.

If it bleeds it leads.
then put it on the spike .

Apparantly whats going to happen is Bruce McAvaney is going to get all 10 clubs CEOS into a room. He will then ask the question "Who here runs a club that is drug free?". All ten CEOS put there hands up. Brucey will then tell the one CEO "No mate, you can put your hand down". All apart of the pre game entertainment for Friday night Footy
