I'm watching AFL Game Day and to me Daisy Pearce seems like a token female on that panel. She's obviously a good AFLW player who they're trying to groom for the media, but she seems out of her element.
At this stage she probably is being used as a token female but if we're ever going to get to the point where women in football media aren't seen as complete outliers/worthy of outrage among the small-minded, it might be somewhat necessary. She's no bad at the job, at least - leagues better than quite a few blokes who already work for 7.

If we allow women to call the footy, next there'll be women police and judges and prime ministers. Where will it end?

Channel 10 tried it and it was awful. Not for her knowledge or passion, but tone. This isn't a female problem, Basil, Hamish, BT are all just as bad, but I hope the next female caller is actually good and not parachuted into the role because of gender.

She has an opinion, she just rarely gets the opportunity to talk as she is talked over the top of. I saw the same happen the other night to Kate Sheahan on fox with Brad Johnson and Dixon
Oh, please. Have you ever actually listened closely to Kate Sheahan? She offers absolutely no insight or anything of any use whatsoever on that show ... she is horrendous.
